Those without training should NOT be allowed to post videos of acrylic, or even be able to buy the products. I've worked bloody hard to pass my course and I will not be charging anyone for my services until I am fully qualified in June.
:D wow... i never knew that you can build the white part of the nail!..can they also do these at salons? instead of attatching the white part.. if so what is it called?
I think you do wonderful work! Your answers to alot of these questions are honest. If they really want to do nails correctly, watching a video or two does not make up for the blood, sweat, and tears that those who took the training to become professional nail techs.
omg these comments are full of amatures asking sill questions, get some training is the perfect response to the questions asked. Although with vids like this all over the net the problem is people think they can just "do it" but then comes the questions, "what is that" "why do i need to do that" "Why dont mine look like that" bla bla bla, answer - get training and problem solved!
No you dont need tips for these nails. I had mine done this way some time ago and can say that these are sturdy. I actually prefer these ones to the tips ones :)
I am always surprised that people leave such negative comments. They aren't constructive or helpful, just mean. Please remember that these people post their videos as a courtesy, they don't have to post anything and it's free to watch. If you think you can do a better job, post your own videos and keep your nasty comments for your own page.
@nailzoo you're a fucking bitch. She was just asking what it is, SORRY NOT EVERYONE IS A NAIL TECH, but you obviously aren't because any professional wouldn't answer back like that.
@MszKeilani I'm not here to teach nails, I will help anyone who puts effort into nails and pays for an education, it would be irresponsible of me(as a professional) to teach people to do nails, so they can undercut technicians that have put in the hard yards .. or to teach anyone to do nails on themselves .. sorry (actually I'm not) .. show your genuine interest by paying for training, then I will do all I can to help you .until then, buy you shit of ebay and waste your time trying . CHEAP ASS
@mrspiggylovespiggys No they don't break easily. They're pretty sturdy. No you don't need to glue on nail tips. These are sculpted nails he's done in the vid. He's very good and experienced and so it looks easy. It takes much practice to get this fluent. Liquid to powder ratios are a big factor.
I am a beginner - I have done a set of acrylic nails using french white tips. My acrylic seemed to dry up as soon as it touched the nail. I thought I was adding enough acrylic liquid. What am i doing wrong? thanks.
okay so im 15, and i recently got really into doing my nails so i wanted to learn how to do acrylic nails, but i cant seem to get it that smooth! and there is always this weird buildup of acrylic around my nailbed, is my brush to big maybe?
HI, learnin come with practise, it sounds to me that your brush may be too dry or your using too much, as a begginer you need to build it up as you get better at it you can go for a big dollop and make it work perfect for you, until then, op for a smaller brush, practice creating little balls and break your nail down into 3 sections, always start with the cutical area, never go right up to the cutical always leave about 2 milimeters gap & move down the nail.
luks great...when get mine done at the salon they polish on something else at the to make it shiny at end (not nail polish) any idea what it is and where can find it?
Incredible, I love it! I didn't know they still did acrylic nails like this, I remember you could buy kits to do you nails like this in the late 70's and early 80's. Never learned how to do them tho'. That is so beautiful!! Do you still have to file the top of you nails with this technique?
This is really cool! I didn't know people actually made the nails like this! I have natural long nails but they grow out thinly and not very strong.. any tips for healthier nails?
sweetlittle, use a ood quality cuticle oil that contains almond oil, never use a cuticle oil that contains mineral oil as it is just a cheap filler oil and the molecules are too large to penetrate the skin anyways
stickers?? hmmm forms! dunno why ppl ask these questions when they obv dont have a clue what they r asking for! go get ur certificate and become a real nail tech!!!
Hey nailzoo, love your work, love your comments. More videos please on anything nail related you are a true professional, because of your amazing vids, you reminded me of a long ago dream to become a nail tech, I start my nail tech course next month.
xpinky, ratio can be an issue with many problem, perhaps you can go back and get your teacher to sort you out, ratio has to be shown and explained (and it varies from product to product) so what I say, may not be correct for the product you are using
Wow so many negative response to one another, i have to give nailzoo credit for responding to everyone tho, some people don't even bother responding at all. So if you think about it, whether or not he response to people, they will be pissed anyways.
If you know just a little about this guy, you would know that he knows how to do nails! And if you ask stupid questions he answers them in same manner.
Saying that this isn't fast is just like saying that an airplane can't lift off!! My god he's faster that all those nailbars that ruin your nails, by drilling them to bits and pieces, and this guy CARES for the natural nail....
Just don't comment if you don't know about nails, take a class come back and show what you can do, or don't comment!
stephanie, if you don't like my honest answers you can piss off and look at other stuff.

i need help. i have done about 5 full sets and have the same problem everytime. i just recently bought a nice drill as well. i am just doing this for a hobby. i have been getting my nails done for 10 years so i thought i would be okay at it.....the nails come out great the only problem is after i file them i cant buff out the whole look of the file on the nail . please someone help me. message me. thanks so much.
is this way of doing better for your nails, i dont know but it just take too long to have it done. i guess it's expensive as well. However u've done very nice job!
i was wondering, how do you keep the spheres of acrylic nice without having it stick so much to the brush? trial and error with the wetness of acrylic mixture? or the strokes with the brush?
often you don't have to pinch a "C" curve, an artificial nail is a natural looking extension to the nail that is already there, pinching can also be painful for the client
HOw do you get your acrylic to shine without using a gel product to cause shine? I see you use oil then some sort of file/buffer? Here in Can we don't do much acrylics so the education isn't amazing regarding them. Thanks!
Please help me. My acrylic dries quite quick and sometimes I don't get a chance to shape/sculpt the nail before it dries. What can I do to slow down the drying. I always end up with nails that look like Elephant Man and I have to file and buff a lot.
Beautiful work!! In my area we call it getting a "wrap" over your natural nails. When I get my nails done, this is the method and length I prefer. They look so natural! As a life-long nail biter, I love it!!
hi is this jus normal white acrylic as i have been told that u need sculpting acrylic or somthing like that i am lerning to do this and i jus wanted to know thanx verry much xx
You're awesome, this was the hardest thing to learn when I was in nail tech school. I never did get it right...and it's good to see someone do it with out the Dremel drill thing heh.
That's all fine and dandy.. but wait two days until the natural nail grows out and you can see the natural free edge through the pink acrylic. Let's see your technique when you put the whites 4 weeks down the nail plate.
Wow! I what to get my nails done that way. So far I have only gotten it done with the white tip glue onto the nail and then the clear gel over it. How much does it cost to get the gel white french tip?
I have been on your website and watched all your videos. You are truly talented (you already know that). I wanted to thank you for posting all your great videos. If I ever make it to your side of the world I would love to have you do my nails. I loved the tutorial on how to prep a new brush; absolutely brilliant! Can't wait to start that process when I get to the salon tomorrow. Thank you so much for sharing.
actually what you are saying is somewhat true...i use to get my nails done all the time and it did ruin my natural nails...i still get them done but the person doesnt use a drill...the drill is what damages the nail

Lishanala try mixing your white with clear until you get a more natural looking white.
Put it in a jar, use a small measure, try 1 part white to parts clear, then shake it up and test it on a tip.
You can add other colors to make it more "off white" ..... experiment.
But use powders from the same company

it's acrylic, not gel, you don't need a lamp

You just do not see it done like this anymore. These are the days of a real manicurist!

hahaha, thanks, it makes me feel kinda old (but in a nice way) there are quite a few techs genuinely interested that still do sculptures.
I hated the form I used, but it was all I had lying around.
There are some great forms available now, but I think my favourites are still the old aluminium ones :-)

Thank you so much for sharing.

obviously you have never been to a true professional, perhaps if you went to a reputable salon, you would know better

RebeccaEmmx, you have no been blocked as your continual ignorance has become annoying
nailzoo 3 years ago
actually what you are saying is somewhat true...i use to get my nails done all the time and it did ruin my natural nails...i still get them done but the person doesnt use a drill...the drill is what damages the nail

i noticed that you didn't make the c-curve. is it neccessary?
Obsessed247 4 years ago
she has a rather flatish nail and wanted it to look like her own natural nail. This nail was also short enough to not require setting a c curve
