  • Those without training should NOT be allowed to post videos of acrylic, or even be able to buy the products. I've worked bloody hard to pass my course and I will not be charging anyone for my services until I am fully qualified in June.

  • :D wow... i never knew that you can build the white part of the nail!..can they also do these at salons? instead of attatching the white part.. if so what is it called?

  • I think you do wonderful work! Your answers to alot of these questions are honest. If they really want to do nails correctly, watching a video or two does not make up for the blood, sweat, and tears that those who took the training to become professional nail techs.

  • i still can't get that damn form right. bleh.

but with your vid and a couple others I am hoping to perfect

    it... one of these days

  • @nailzoo u r so f*ing rude

  • @shawtyangel10 AND YOU ARE SO IGNORANT

  • omg these comments are full of amatures asking sill questions, get some training is the perfect response to the questions asked. Although with vids like this all over the net the problem is people think they can just "do it" but then comes the questions, "what is that" "why do i need to do that" "Why dont mine look like that" bla bla bla, answer - get training and problem solved!

  • What is the name of the thing on her finger so I can buy it and do it myself.??

  • amazing. you make it look so easy!

  • GREAT VID! WoW...

  • That´s absolutly correct work! Very good! Sorry i´m not english but i hope i wrote correctly!

  • -.- Yeah this works with acrylic ..

  • thanx for sharing!

  • @ mrspiggylovespiggys

No you dont need tips for these nails. I had mine done this way some time ago and can say that these are sturdy. I actually prefer these ones to the tips ones :)

  • what's the point to do this to a nail? is this better than putting a fake nail on the tip?

  • Great video, thanks!

I am always surprised that people leave such negative comments. They aren't constructive or helpful, just mean. Please remember that these people post their videos as a courtesy, they don't have to post anything and it's free to watch. If you think you can do a better job, post your own videos and keep your nasty comments for your own page.

  • This is not acrylic , this is gel nails ? Wtf ?

  • @KEEPuSMILE it is acrylic

  • @KEEPuSMILE Gel nails are just the pink not white.

  • the white stuff is?? where buy? please tell me .. never did one.

  • @claudita336 lol at white stuff ..... my advice, ......get some training

  • @nailzoo That's the same thing that ran through my mind!

  • @nailzoo lol :P

  • @nailzoo you're a fucking bitch. She was just asking what it is, SORRY NOT EVERYONE IS A NAIL TECH, but you obviously aren't because any professional wouldn't answer back like that.

  • @MszKeilani I'm not here to teach nails, I will help anyone who puts effort into nails and pays for an education, it would be irresponsible of me(as a professional) to teach people to do nails, so they can undercut technicians that have put in the hard yards .. or to teach anyone to do nails on themselves .. sorry (actually I'm not) .. show your genuine interest by paying for training, then I will do all I can to help you .until then, buy you shit of ebay and waste your time trying . CHEAP ASS

  • @nailzoo claudita, learn some manners, LOL at your rudeness.

  • SO FOR THIS LOOK YOU DONT NEED THE CLEAR OR WHITE TIP NAILS?????? AND DONT THEY BREAK OFF ???? PLEASE ANYONE???

  • @mrspiggylovespiggys No they don't break easily. They're pretty sturdy. No you don't need to glue on nail tips. These are sculpted nails he's done in the vid. He's very good and experienced and so it looks easy. It takes much practice to get this fluent. Liquid to powder ratios are a big factor.

  • I am a beginner - I have done a set of acrylic nails using french white tips. My acrylic seemed to dry up as soon as it touched the nail. I thought I was adding enough acrylic liquid. What am i doing wrong? thanks.

  • @squashiesmum ask your teacher

  • Nice nails nailzoo you make it look effortless! i wish it showed your products:-)

  • BTW if anyone cares, a male dentist created this craze! lol

  • I have done acrylics before but never sculpted them using the nail forms but this seems so easy so im going have a go, fab video thanks x

  • wow

  • it's look so easy but i can't apply it well.. :"(

  • i have never seen this, i guess since i dont go into nail salons. crazy to see

  • do you have to put the tips on??

  • This is a true art!

  • VERY VERY G00D

  • what calls the black thing you have under the nails? where can I buy it?

  • is it as easy as it looks? merry christmas.

  • does it only work with gel nails can it work with acrycial nails?? can someone tell me thanku

  • @stephanieangeles1 this Is acrylic

  • umm..... hello nailzoo my question is what are those stickers thing called and where can you buy them?? :)

  • umm hello nailzoo my question is what are those stickers thing called and where can you buy them?? :)

  • You are the best, man! I whish I could have my nails done by you but I am too far... in Brazil :-P

  • My acrylic doesn't really stick to my nails. It dislodges easily after it dried. Do you have any idea what may be wrong??

  • nice job

  • nice job

  • super bonita y muy natural! grcias

  • bradzo fajnie...pozdro:)

  • how com you didn't put an plastic extension on the nail???

is this way better than the extension?

  • @ThePurpleRanger12 they didnt put on a plastic extension (nail tip) becausehe is sculpting/adding on with acrylic

  • @sexyadrahs It's called a nail form =)

  • The black and gold sticker thing, is a form. You can get them at any nail shop. They're mainly used for sculpting nails that have no clear free edge.

  • You did a good job. =)

  • how long did u wait for the powder to dry???

  • acrylic nails cures in the lamp?

  • No, Gel nails cure in Lamps, or AcrylGel can cure either in the lamp or own its own. Acrylic cures by its self within a min it should be soild.

  • no thats gel acrylic just needs a lamp ta dry the top coat

  • okay so im 15, and i recently got really into doing my nails so i wanted to learn how to do acrylic nails, but i cant seem to get it that smooth! and there is always this weird buildup of acrylic around my nailbed, is my brush to big maybe?

  • HI, learnin come with practise, it sounds to me that your brush may be too dry or your using too much, as a begginer you need to build it up as you get better at it you can go for a big dollop and make it work perfect for you, until then, op for a smaller brush, practice creating little balls and break your nail down into 3 sections, always start with the cutical area, never go right up to the cutical always leave about 2 milimeters gap & move down the nail.

  • Hello I need your help

What thing do you use for the base of the nails ???

    What is its name ???

    Regards

    -FaeZara

  • luks great...when get mine done at the salon they polish on something else at the to make it shiny at end (not nail polish) any idea what it is and where can find it?

  • Hi ,

I love the video and would love to buy this Avolve Product that you use in your other videos. Im in the US Where can i find it there?

  • how the fxck does that work? o.O

  • i dont get it

  • wow

  • wat is the white stuff called that she is using?

  • Incredible, I love it! I didn't know they still did acrylic nails like this, I remember you could buy kits to do you nails like this in the late 70's and early 80's. Never learned how to do them tho'. That is so beautiful!! Do you still have to file the top of you nails with this technique?

  • i thought you were doing your own nails, and then i was like 'HEH? 3 hands?!' xD but this is cool, i doidn't know that existed :D

  • hi just wondering is there sound?

  • hi,nice video,,i just wanted to know what is the life of these nails ,,how long do they last,,,are they water friendly,,some dos and donts!!!!

  • This is really cool! I didn't know people actually made the nails like this! I have natural long nails but they grow out thinly and not very strong.. any tips for healthier nails?

  • sweetlittle, use a ood quality cuticle oil that contains almond oil, never use a cuticle oil that contains mineral oil as it is just a cheap filler oil and the molecules are too large to penetrate the skin anyways

  • are the horseshoe forms better then the cold square ones? i have a little trouble with the squares fitting right

  • princess, I hat the horseshoe forms, when Idid this video a few years ago, it was the onlly thing I had lying around :-)

I have another (much newer) sculpture video online now

  • stickers?? hmmm forms! dunno why ppl ask these questions when they obv dont have a clue what they r asking for! go get ur certificate and become a real nail tech!!!

  • wow that was quick, you really got some skills there!

  • Hey nailzoo, love your work, love your comments. More videos please on anything nail related you are a true professional, because of your amazing vids, you reminded me of a long ago dream to become a nail tech, I start my nail tech course next month.

  • the nails are beautiful!!! im 2 weeks into my course now n they are no where near as perfect as urs. thank u so much for the inspiration tho. cheers

  • Hi,

I have just completed a nail sculpting course but I am having a few problems.

My acrylic appears but and I am not able to buff it to a good shine. Do you think my liquid to powder ratio is wrong?

Also do u have any tips to avoid air bubbles.

    Thanks.

  • xpinky, ratio can be an issue with many problem, perhaps you can go back and get your teacher to sort you out, ratio has to be shown and explained (and it varies from product to product) so what I say, may not be correct for the product you are using

  • I Need One Of Those Stickers...

    8D

  • Stickers ?????

    are you getting my drift?

  • Wow so many negative response to one another, i have to give nailzoo credit for responding to everyone tho, some people don't even bother responding at all. So if you think about it, whether or not he response to people, they will be pissed anyways.

  • Fab....I could watch your work for hours Nailzoo. Post more videos!!!! :D

  • i love getting acrylic i thinks its amazing haha

  • If you know just a little about this guy, you would know that he knows how to do nails! And if you ask stupid questions he answers them in same manner.

Saying that this isn't fast is just like saying that an airplane can't lift off!! My god he's faster that all those nailbars that ruin your nails, by drilling them to bits and pieces, and this guy CARES for the natural nail....

Just don't comment if you don't know about nails, take a class come back and show what you can do, or don't comment!

  • stephanie is right.. and nailzoo is right too.. she gives honest answers, but if u answer some1 be nicer.. no offence

    i still like ure work

  • Shriya, if you look at my hands, it's quite obvious I am a man.

I am direct in my answers.

And answering questions like "what is the white stuff"?

When it is clearly "white acrylic", makes me feel like I am responsible for teaching people to do nails with no attempt at professional qualification.

There is enough competion doing nails already, without people learning from youtube and charging cheap prices...

Not to mention they cannot be insured to offer this service.

  • why are u such a bitch when ppl ask you questions

  • stephanie, if you don't like my honest answers you can piss off and look at other stuff.

Sorry I'm not into stroking the ego's of ignorant wannabee technicians when they have nothing to show for themselves.....

    Put up, or shut up.

I'm not here to teach backyard technicians to compete with people who have taken the innitiative to pay for a professional nail course, all i'm doing is showing an alternative way of doing things, if you don't like it, don't watch.

  • Nope i don't do nails but ui know people that sculpt faster than 5 minutes for 1 nail.

  • realy dude? 5 minutes for 1 nail?

  • winesippa, that equates to 50 minutes for a full set of sculptures, can I have a look at your videos sowing me you method for a faster time please.

Or do you just talk the talk and not walk the walk?

  • i was wondering, i dont use my white powder that much, but does having a layer of clear powder mix prevent the white from yellowing?

  • Lishanala, the white yellows if it is a poor quality system

  • ah, what do you suggest for a better white acrylic? i usually just stick with clear, then painting them whatever colour because i am not a huge fan of frenchies for my nails. but it would be nice to have perfect white 3d hearts on my nails tho lol

    thanks in advance~~

  • Lishanala try mixing your white with clear until you get a more natural looking white.

Put it in a jar, use a small measure, try 1 part white to parts clear, then shake it up and test it on a tip.

You can add other colors to make it more "off white" ..... experiment.

But use powders from the same company

  • ahh, ok. thank you :D

i am soo going to try that out soon and see how my hearts turn out. i got a little sad when my first set of hearts on my phone yellowed slightly lol. ill be sure to tell of my new batch :D

  • I LOVE NAILZOO! i have a question... can I buy the white stuff you use for the tip at a beauty or nail store?

  • roxy ....... white stuff?

  • i need help. i have done about 5 full sets and have the same problem everytime. i just recently bought a nice drill as well. i am just doing this for a hobby. i have been getting my nails done for 10 years so i thought i would be okay at it.....the nails come out great the only problem is after i file them i cant buff out the whole look of the file on the nail . please someone help me. message me. thanks so much.

  • I love Nailzoo.xxx

  • is this way of doing better for your nails, i dont know but it just take too long to have it done. i guess it's expensive as well. However u've done very nice job!

  • i was wondering, how do you keep the spheres of acrylic nice without having it stick so much to the brush? trial and error with the wetness of acrylic mixture? or the strokes with the brush?

  • OMG that was so cool can u give me tips on how to do it me and my sis are going to try it

  • kitsongirls, my advice is to pay for some professional training

  • thaks for uploadin this video as i am learning how to apply acrylics n a big help to me thanks :) x

  • how come you never "pinch a C curve" like the others?

  • often you don't have to pinch a "C" curve, an artificial nail is a natural looking extension to the nail that is already there, pinching can also be painful for the client

  • nice to see u finished with a file and not a drill really nice job !!

  • very nice

  • is it realy acrylic? it kinda looks like gel to me

  • if it was gel , i'd being using a UV lamp

  • this is a guy doing her nails? damn!

  • So they use nail forms!!! I thought they were short tips w/clear acrylic over them--very skillful!

  • i never seen em done like that before.

  • where do you buy the nail Sculpture?

  • how to remove it?

  • that was cool

  • HOw do you get your acrylic to shine without using a gel product to cause shine? I see you use oil then some sort of file/buffer? Here in Can we don't do much acrylics so the education isn't amazing regarding them. Thanks!

  • Awesome!!! very neat and beautiful!!!

  • are this uv nails ??? can you tell me the regular cost for this at nail

    salons??

  • I'm impressed, it was beautiful

  • I'm impressed, it was beautiful

  • no utilizan tip??

  • what is a utilizan tip??

  • she has asked if you don´t use nail tips.

  • she is surprised that you didn't use a nail tip . Thank you nailzoo the nail is beautiful

  • She asked if you use tips.

  • translation:

    You don't use a tip??

  • she said: don't u use any type of tip??

  • She is asking, if no tip was used?

  • how much do you have to wait to take off sticker?

  • That you place product ultimately in order that the nail remains brilliant??

  • i've tried to do my nails like this but they alwasys tear off along then natural edge

  • nice job, looks so natural and tidy.

  • yes the aluminum forms are great they r the only ones i use

  • when i go to the salon, what is this calld?

    thanks!

    =]

  • Please help me. My acrylic dries quite quick and sometimes I don't get a chance to shape/sculpt the nail before it dries. What can I do to slow down the drying. I always end up with nails that look like Elephant Man and I have to file and buff a lot.

    Thank you. You're true pro.

  • You need slow setting acrylic...

(sorry for jumping in with a tip) :D

Nailzoo, I love your work. And your comments! :D great!

  • Beautiful work!! In my area we call it getting a "wrap" over your natural nails. When I get my nails done, this is the method and length I prefer. They look so natural! As a life-long nail biter, I love it!!

  • can u do a tutorial on this...i love It~~~

  • hi is this jus normal white acrylic as i have been told that u need sculpting acrylic or somthing like that i am lerning to do this and i jus wanted to know thanx verry much xx

  • it's normal white & natural acrylic

  • this way is better. thanx for the vid!

  • Very interesting, I've never have seen it done this way. I like it though, what is the name of this technique?

  • Fantastico!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hello, that was very helpful, so you dont use a UV lamp at all?

    x

  • it's acrylic, not gel, you don't need a lamp

  • You just do not see it done like this anymore. These are the days of a real manicurist!

  • hahaha, thanks, it makes me feel kinda old (but in a nice way) there are quite a few techs genuinely interested that still do sculptures.

I hated the form I used, but it was all I had lying around.

There are some great forms available now, but I think my favourites are still the old aluminium ones :-)

  • if yo don't mind what number of brush r u useing?

  • I use a size14 oval brush which I work flat

  • wow! you are really good! what exactly is the white stuff? i would love to try that!

  • it's white acrylic

  • You're awesome, this was the hardest thing to learn when I was in nail tech school. I never did get it right...and it's good to see someone do it with out the Dremel drill thing heh.

  • brill wicked

  • That's all fine and dandy.. but wait two days until the natural nail grows out and you can see the natural free edge through the pink acrylic. Let's see your technique when you put the whites 4 weeks down the nail plate.

  • perhaps you should look at some of my other videos before comment

  • Wow! I what to get my nails done that way. So far I have only gotten it done with the white tip glue onto the nail and then the clear gel over it. How much does it cost to get the gel white french tip?

  • is that a special kind of nail polish that you use ? wut is it called

  • wow i never new thats what they do fer tips!!

  • hummm... i'm gonna go try this out now, bet i mess it up!

  • I have been on your website and watched all your videos. You are truly talented (you already know that). I wanted to thank you for posting all your great videos. If I ever make it to your side of the world I would love to have you do my nails. I loved the tutorial on how to prep a new brush; absolutely brilliant! Can't wait to start that process when I get to the salon tomorrow. Thank you so much for sharing.

  • acrylic nailss ruin your actual nail and the skin around it

  • obviously you have never been to a true professional, perhaps if you went to a reputable salon, you would know better

  • i have been actually and so have most of my friends and they all say the samee ..

  • RebeccaEmmx, you have no been blocked as your continual ignorance has become annoying

  • actually what you are saying is somewhat true...i use to get my nails done all the time and it did ruin my natural nails...i still get them done but the person doesnt use a drill...the drill is what damages the nail

  • Duh...can't you tell it's arcylic???

  • Is this acrylic or gel?

  • omg that stuff u put on it it molds nicely

  • nice...but i bet they break eeasily?

and wats this process called if i were to ask for this in a salon?

  • how long does it take to dry??

  • one minute

  • i noticed that you didn't make the c-curve. is it neccessary?

  • she has a rather flatish nail and wanted it to look like her own natural nail. This nail was also short enough to not require setting a c curve

  • carl your amazzzing thanks for the vid. Niksaki
