im 17 and live right out of philly in middletown i am looking at colleges in pittsburgh i really want to go somewhere new! couple questions: is it easy to meet people in pittsburgh? Where is the best place to live in apartments where i get that in the city feel?
Taking my son TONIGHT to visit Univ. of Pittsburgh, we know nothing about the town or University other than the research he has done on the computer. He was accepted to Notre Dame but so expensive, Pitt has offered great scholarship money....any input would be great! We live in Indiana and thinking the weather is a lot a like?
nice you should go to the one oxford center right off grrant street it's the best went there for a wedding reception in the rivireside club and it's the best got dizzy looking up at the tower but still great views the whol nine yards
The weather isn't too good. If you don't have a air conditioner or some other good way of staying cold you will be miserably hot during the summers. The winters are not to good either. With all the hills its hard to get around the city with the bad snow storms and ice storms we get. But, don't like this stop you. This is an incredible and amazing city. There is so much to do and you'll love it. I was born and raised here.
i've lived here my whole life, i'm not at the moment, i come back for all summer, but i will move back eventually. Trust me, it is a GREAT place. So many things to do, and the atmosphere is great. Pittsburgh is amazing and i love it to death it would not be a bad idea at all to come here.
i gotta tell you- walking around w/ a camera in THAT town will likely cause fear and suspicion by the common people. pittsburghers are just weird and unsophisticated that way. in my opinion.
pittsburgh does not feel at all like a city, the streets are too small and the atmosphere is not there....if you want to get the real city feel go to cleveland, ohio much more to do and see.... cleveland is also a bigger city than pittsburgh as far as population
God you are stupid, Cleveland is nothing more than a wannabe Pittsburgh that failed miserably at emulating the Steel cITY. No notable industry or history in that place, ugly skyline, disappearing jobs and people fleeing every day... hate to break it to you but they are similarly sized metro areas, nobody cares about the population inside arbitrary city boundaries.
i live in Pittsburgh and i like New York and i fucking hate Pittsburgh.
