@sebasmartenable it surprises me how many people STILL think this. sc:bw was only as competitive as it was because of key environmental events like the economic downturn in s.korea at the time of it's rising. Other than that, sc:bw was only competitive in the sense that the game was horribly out of date, the ai, pathing, exploits in the game was what made it "hard". I used to think bw was the be all and end all too. sc2 hasn't reached it's limit, it still has room for miracle games like bw had.

however, remember those rather old videos of starcraft highlight reels? made by spitfire or other very very talented people? those were the days with the insane special effects and music synchronizing with the video itself. that is what inspired me to play. although this was a good vid, we need more special effects and whatnot to inspire more ppl into the sc world. b/c b4 they can actually see the beauty of sc, they will have to see something eyecatching.
