In this song Roddy's guitar is supposed to be very distorted and with a pitch shifting type effect, pretty much noise (check out the Wolverhampton concert for example), and for that kind of stuff sloppy playing doesn't really matter because you can't hear any details. This time the effects didn't work and that's why it sounds so bad, because the guitar is clean and you can actually hear what Roddy is playing.
poor old jon must wince at roddys (lets be honest) poor to shit guitar work..it was a really bad idea over the whole king for a day to album OTY period to keep getting roddy playing second guitar on songs with no keys...great keyboardist..awful guitar..just listen to imperial ..teen..different style altogether..I say that with total respect for roddy xx
Mike Patton is a great singer and no way that Tool or Reznor are influence by he, Reznor could be the father of Mike, jeje im mean, Reznor, Tool an then Mike in that order, thats my opinion besides you can't compare they.
I disagree. Everyone has a LOT of respect for Patton and is probably one of the most respected and aknowledged artists in the scene. People copy him and that is a fact of life.
Legends do not come every day so take it with a pinch of salt that out of all the 1000s of bands Faith No More have spawned, there are a good number which have written some amazing albums. Incubus, Trent Reznor has massive influences from Faith No More, Tool.. the list goes on and on.
American Headcharge, Incubus, Glassjaw. All singers have ripped Patton off big time. I'm not sure where the parallels are being drawn in regards to tool and Trent Reznor though. Contemporaries yes. Spin offs?? Ahhh... no. Explain to me the influence on tool and NIN???
