Man, that guitar tone at the end that Robbie has is awesome:) Love this tune, seen him 6 times, wish I could've heard him do this one live just once!
I saw this concert at UC Berkeley in the football stadium. It felt like Paul was singing only to me even though I was pretty far from the stage, and that made it a very moving experience. I remember some women on BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) trashing Linda. I said nothing; Linda showed 'em I'm sure!
I saw this show in Chicago in the early nineties. Linda and her keyboards lifted up -- raised -- crossed stage left and back. An amazing effect to an amazing song.
This is one of my favourite Macca songs - written around the same time as No More Lonely Nights in 1984 and with Dave Gilmore on lead guitar on the studio version.
Yes sorry, released on Flowers In The Dirt in '89 but I'd read somewhere that he first wrote it and recorded the guitar part with Gilmore when they both did No More Lonely Nights for Broadstreet. Can't find anywhere on the web where I read that now doh!!
@skyjen you're right, on Wikipedia it says Gilmore played lead guitar on We Got Married song on the album, and Paul worked with people like Costello, Gilmore, and more
I saw this concert from the 4th row at Giants Stadium, and it sounded awesome. It was great to see Paul and Linda working together, and it's great to see them together again... she was and still is the true love of his life.
