  • This song still gets me revved up.

  • Saturday Night Alright for fighting with my mean Aunt, she thinks she can take me down to

Depression like her, she is wrong!

  • Listening to this on a Saturday :P

  • 13 people signed 13 death warrant's.

  • One of the best pop albums of all time.

  • I listened to this on new years eve, which was actually a Saturday

  • 12 People cant fight lol

  • @joemac416 13 now one guy missed the like button

  • CRANK IT UP!

  • One of my favourite songs from Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.

  • early elton was brilliant, kind of went downhill after the early 70's in my opinion

  • I'd love to see Elton John fighting.

  • Elton's band is absolutely awesome but we forget this because he is such a superstar. That guitar work is extraordinary.

  • ah the 70's when people were afraid to end a song, fade out is such a cop out.

Great song though, I have the album of yellow discs signed by the man himself

  • ranks up there with the who...pinball wizard.

  • whatever happened to all the songs i used ot f u c k ing like!!!!!!!

  • Heard some remake of this by some wanker band called Flotsam & Jetsum and it was total gobshite. They did it in the 80s. They couldn't have been serious. Instead of ...7 o'clock and I wanna rock", they said ..."and I wanna mosh" How retarded.

  • @truthaintpretty Get the name right atleast if your gonna be a douch..They are not a "wanker" band,They have released 10 studio albums and have been making music since 1982 and STILL TOURING,so they are not a little shit of a band like you present it..Even Jason Newsted who later departed to Metallica (Only the worlds biggest band) started his carrere in the band..Elton and F & J are in two diffrent music categories,so ofcourse the song would be alot diffrent..Velbekomme ;)

  • @truthaintpretty BTW:If you got your fingers out of your ears and do a little research you would find out why they switched in the word mosh, just about any person listening to post 70s rock knows what it is ;)

  • @truthaintpretty hey metal rules!

  • f u c k this is a good song!

  • Used to dance to this one when I was a dancer. Good memories...<3

  • Saturday Night's alright for fighting, and drinking! tonight is the last Saturday in 2011.

  • My second favorite glissando (just behind the one from Dancing Queen!)

  • not all of us though some of us are obliviouse little fucks who do nothing better with their time but act like tools because mommy and daddy treat em like little princes and princessess

  • reminds me of getting fucked up nowadays considering I'm not old enough to remember tyhe 80's or the 70's but I remember getting fucked up last saturday and the atmosphere's different cause the people that show up chip in now cause aint nobody got the money they had everyone used to have all this money and fast cars and now people my age run around and do what they can and have a good time.

  • reminds me of high school hockey

  • rebeljack1860, Rock will always be king, and so will Muscle cars! Rap (besides Detroit rappers ICP and Eminem) sucks, and this new shit the blacks and emo's are comming out with is dumb as fuck because nobody will ever be as much of a legend as what the good part of American's know. Elton, Mr. Joel, ACDC, well you know how long the list is. lol. at least people still know goood music!

  • 12 people must like the nickelcrap version -___-

  • @MichaelMaverick0211 Nickelcrap nice. I made up one a little more hiphop Nickelwack

  • This song kicks so much ass. Early Elton John really is the best.

  • Nothing like this song before a College Football Game.

  • I'm always ready for a belly full of beer... not just Saturday's

  • BEST song for Hockey Night in Canada. I always listen to this when I'm getting ready to go downtown to the bar to watch the games :D

  • Saturday is a much better day than Friday. Am I not correct?

  • actually ..SUNDAY Is the Best day !!

and for the most part , tuesdays. wednesdays , thursdays..

    are not so bad either...

  • @TheAbsolQueen Couldn't be more wrong. After friday you got saturday, after saturday all you got is sunday.

  • somebody asked me who elton john was and i smacked him and then hit him

  • they just dont make em like this anymore

  • I know the feeling

  • veryyy easy to drive 20 miles over the speed limit to this

  • I heard this in Wienerschnitzel a few months ago, and then I went into McDonald's and heard some preteen pop music. I've been too traumatized to return ever since.

  • My love of good music brought me here.

  • Check out Dr Feelgood, serious R & B. Plenty of their stuff on YouTube: Enjoy!

  • I heard this in Best Buy today lol

  • I was brought here by New Waver's "Monday Morning's All Right (for Working)".

  • Flotsam and Jetsam Brought me here.

  • I love the way the guitars are whalen at the end of this song.......... Wish it could go on for a bit more.

  • November 04 Elton John came to Lithuania and this song was first , i will never forget this it was so awsome , bether than any drugs in the world and it seems i became addicted to Elton John and Phil Collins . Thank you sir .

  • This is the song I lived by when I went drag racing with the guys in our Muscle cars. What a time it was listening to HI REVS poping the clutch and tearing ass and listening to Saturday nights alright for fighting at the same time. I'm so glad to have lived at a time when rock was king and muscle cars were coming off the assembly line. Thanks Elton this will always be my No.1 song for as long as I live.

  • @rebeljack1860 Muscle cars had stopped rolling off the assembly lines by the time this album came out in 1973. The OPEC oil embargo and stricter emissions standards had effectively killed the muscle car. Some models still had the style, but the performance was gone. It's probably why Elton was ready for fighting...

  • @encryptedbytes i guess you never owned a muscle car in your life but you're real good at knowing about opec and when the well went dry....... I built muscle cars in 72 thru 80 and raced everthing from 67 GTOs with worked ram air 400 engines to 69 Camaros with 454s so don't tell me about what it is you could'nt do back in 73 and yes I listened to SNARFF in everyone of those cars

  • @rebeljack1860 You obviously didn't understand my comment. I said nothing about what you could or couldn't do in 1973. I said that, by the time this album was released, muscle cars were no longer rolling off the assembly. That is a fact and something your 'credentials' cannot change. Incidentally, I am nearly done restoring my '67 Mustang coupe. I know, it's more a pony car than a muscle car, but I thought you'd like to know.

  • @rebeljack1860 lol "tearing ass"

  • @rebeljack1860 Is it just me or did you mean your comment to sound very very gay... Not that it matters but you capitalize Muscle, talk about poping and tearing ass all while listening to elton john

  • @willwildo Hence the comment.....Muscle cars were coming off the assembly line. What do you think that means. I guess you were'nt around when that was all going on back in the 60s and early 70s Nothing gay about that ... Anytime you want to race for registrations ....... I'll be here.

  • This one best music around I just can't stop listing this IT TOO EPIC!! :DDDDD

  • wake up everyone,,i shall be released

  • Why is it ok for Elton John to sing about Saturday, but not ok for Rebecca black to sing about Friday?

  • @rehmsmeyer I just....just..dont have the strenght to explain it to idiots....To much typing..

  • @stewke89 tru dat

  • @stewke89

You mean *too* much typing... I'm not a grammar nazi but if you're insulting others' intelligence, you should be sure you look smart yourself : ).

  • @theluckyfr0g Well i accidentally missed that letter but English is not my language..Serbian is.That doesn't mean i can write it wrong but it gives me an excuse when i make a mistake.

  • @stewke89

Yeah, good excuse. I'm sure I make more mistakes when I comment in Spanish, lol. It's just that for a native speaker, to/too is something that should have been learned in elementary school, but which many people never figure out. Annoying, but not a big deal. : )

  • @rehmsmeyer because he's Elton John

  • @rehmsmeyer Because at least this man has talent.

  • Spent my night listening to this whole album. Never realized how incredible Elton John was. I am now a huge fan!

  • Love it so damn much...

  • @TheMiner23 GTFO. v.v You make me sad.

  • @TheMiner23 and?

  • @TheMiner23 wtf are u smokin? must be strong lol

  • @TheMiner23 ... It's not even the real version! Elton John is SOOO much better than Nikelback. LEAVE.

  • @TheMiner23 Whatever you're on, I'll take two.

  • try blasting this in suburbia around 5. funiest reactions ever (in my case because wanna be gangsters are always blasting rap)

  • wonderful song for lifting "spirits", and I have many.

  • Gnomeo and Juliet <3

  • today is SATURDAY in Flint, Michigan!!! This song pumps me up although it is only 6 AM,

  • 70s - Saturday nights alright for fighting

    80s - I don't like mondays

90s - Whats the story morning glory

    2000s - 2010s - Friday (sigh)

  • QUIEN NO RECUERDA EL CAMINO AMARILLO DE LADRILLOS..

  • I'm just wondering as to what makes a place an acceptable place to learn about a song?

  • see now this is the great type of song that promotes violence but is accepted. GREAT SONG!!

  • Loove Saturday Night ......

  • This song promotes violence. Yet rap the bad stuff. Just saying. ;o

  • You guys need to stop being mad that people saw this song on guitar hero at least they heard the damn song let them hear it where they want to. Everyone's so damn concerned with someone else and not yourself.

  • Does anyone else hear him saying:

"Hide away the Death Star plan"?

At about 1:40 he says it.

  • @ociee117

I think someone watches a bit to much star wars.

  • I actually don't mind the nickleback cover... I mean I wouldn't listen to it, but it's fucking awesome in the HNIC intro, still wish they would have used Elton's version but it's still a killer song.

  • thank god it's saturday!

  • 11 people prefer Friday.

  • i just listen to nicklebacks cover it sounds like SHIT all the soul and

all the shit that makes you bob your head and sing is gone i know elton was gay but that was some fag shit the only person who would listen to that before going out on the town would be a 12 year old going to skating ring

  • classic song

  • Saturday Night is alright for rocking this song!

  • Yeah........Mom & Dad were pounding on my bedroom door shouting to turn down the music coming from the Harmon Cardon Sound System.....I took another toke, held it in, relaxed and took another toke laughing as they never could understand. Once the song was over I allowed them entry before Dad was about to batter down the door. The room smelling of majauana I didn't care...it was the times.

    LONG LIVE ELTON...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Thanks for the memories to tell)

  • @SuperLiftRick I love this story. (:

  • @billyboy7465 so?

  • If you're gonna deny yourself musical awesomeness just because of homeboy's sexual orientation that's your bad.

  • Wasnt there a song that sampled the beginning riff? I think it was called Gloria or something

  • Super-classic 70s rock! Even The Who did a version of this rocker!

  • my old man don't know my shit; my moms never gonna get me. so I guess I'll just pump up good ol' Elton and zone out.

  • made me realize how much nickelback sucks even more

  • @rambonigga34 They're not know as "nickel bag" for nothing, the put the "suck" is suckass.

  • Thumbs up if Guitar Hero 5 didn't bring you here.

  • 11 people should have their asses kicked on saturday night.

  • it's hockey night bitches

  • for those who know not the art of sarcasm, that was an example just for you.

  • one of the coolest opening guitar riffs ever!

  • @stupidflyer649 ...You don't have to grow up in the 20th century, because this is 21th century ...And yes, it was a good time for music in the late sixties, early seventies !

  • @Willywaw

    oh damn :P

people these days, i'm ashamed of the 20th century's educational system.

  • @Xlsy221 Look who talking, it the 21th century's jackass.

  • @RubyProduction

aaaw snap, another one who fails to understand sarcasm :D.

Ow the yoys of 20th century sarcasm understanding.

  • when i hear good music like this it makes me ashamed to have to grow up in the 20th century

  • I used to think he was saying, "My sister looks cute in her braces and boots, a handful of "fleas" in her hair." Must've been the ganja...

  • This take is very intense.

  • oh god this song makes me want to get fucked up *run*

  • i never lived in the 70s but i heard they were the best years of my parents life. im only 16 and im in love with this music

  • @BrandonBearsVarsity1 right! i'm almost 18 and my folks are the same :) we both should have grown up in the 70's rather than today hahaha

  • @BrandonBearsVarsity1 Cool story bro.

  • This song was used in my favorite movie (The Entity) so I decided to check it out and I like it!

  • its 7 and I WANNA ROCK!!!!!!

  • I hope my neighbors like this song :D

  • this is music at its finest. i wish it was still written like this.

  • 11 people don't know what real music is

  • i would kill to know what this guitar player used to get this kind of tone...it's fucking nasty

  • he says saturday 36 times in this song

  • I like his shoes.

  • I forget... What day is he talking about? ;-)

    ~NtN~

  • @XTraSnipingNA yeah it rocks too

  • awesome!

  • Holy shit! Is this song about greasers? I am a greaser and I heard this on the radio and the lyrics like a handful of grease in her hair and oiled as a diesel train makes it sound like greasers...

  • @1DarkPunk Possibly, though John wrote the song in the 70's. Didn't know greasers were still around. I thought that was a 50's thing.

  • @Raithulu Song was written in the 70s but could have be written about the 50s and in the 70s Greasers were still around but the music changed and most road motorcycles instead of driving hot rods

  • @1DarkPunk then again i don't think fightin, drinkin, motorcycles and saturdays will ever go out of style...or at least stop being fun

  • @kadburyk no but a handful of grease in a persons hair did for the most part. there is a few of us modern greasers but not many. However fighting fucking drinking and motorcycles all sound like fun right now so i have to agree lol...

  • @1DarkPunk can you at least be considerate enough to do your fighting with people that want to fight you? lol

  • @banklikefrankwhite1 I only fight with douche bags that run there mouth at me or pick on smaller people. People that deserve to get there head busted

  • @1DarkPunk definitely nothing wrong with that! some people need it, and it's your job to give it to them.

  • @banklikefrankwhite1 I was afraid to fight until I was pushed too far one day by the biggest guy in my school and I grabbed him and shoved his head into a locker so hard he cried then after that I picked up the enjoy for a rumble and a I dont give a shit what you think attitude...

  • @1DarkPunk like i said..nothing wrong with that...me personally..i'm not the violent type..i have been, and it was ugly when i actually got pushed to that point, which shocked even me...because i hurt that guy badly.

like you, i was afraid to fight too, but this person just pushed buttons i never thought could be pushed. but..if you're fighting with a punk, bitch, shit talker, or anyone else that deserves it, i'm all for it.

as long as you're not picking on people, you're alright

  • @banklikefrankwhite1 It means im not the only one thats what it means
