This piece is called Aroura, Homeric Greek for "arable land" and not Aurora. Anyone who knows Xenakis can imagine that he would have never called a piece of his Aurora...! And the 'mystic' suns that are showed here are also irrelevant... This video should be removed cos it's misleading.
I love Xenakis. I love the way he explores the same musical world time and time again. Chaos, dissonance, his wartime experience - it's all there, which, for me, makes his music predictable and boring. Nah, give me Boulez or Ligeti over him.
