A NEAR BY LAMP IS MORE THAN ENOUGH HEAT!! you can cook your scorpion if you have a heat lamp near also if you think its cool that your scorpion glows under a UV light dont put one over his cage and have it on 24/7 it could kill him, so once in a while when guests come over or whatever. the substrate needs to be change bout once a month maybe less, a mold can grow from the daily spray and water dish that could infect the scorpions lungs and kill him i learned this from a friend who lost his to
