Thanks for having the courage and understanding to produce such a powerful message!! Your artfully exquisite photography blended beautifully with Bach's music... 5*****
I can so relate to your sister, I've had depression for going on 40 years, no one cares or even attempts to understand, it took me two wives to find that out. I still struggle everyday fighting the demons inside, trying not to listen to the voices. thanks for posting, beautiful music.
@jhaley12 Im so sorry I took so long to see and reply to this... People are so "into themselves".. Not everyone.. but it seems more the norm ... I wish you peace within... xo
The artistry of this presentation is profound - so touching - but besides the intense subject - it's also magnificantly beautiful - so much so, it's made me want to sketch - I haven't been up to that in a while - but these images .... these images ...
Nancy...all our thoughts and prayers are with your Sis god bless her...and hope things do get better...stay strong..we are all here for you all..pease give your Sis a big hug from me...hope she is doing well this week and all of time..much love David..Rose..family...xoxoxoxo
Thank you David ...as are mine with you... Yes, she is feeling somewhat better.. shes been ill a long time... Love to you and Rose and family xoxoxooxoxo
In those moments when it seems the isolation and darkness are overwhelming it is my sisters 'of the heart' who have shown me there is light still alive in me. I have laughed and cried with them and felt that I was not totally alone.
Just wanted all to know that I appreciate the video Nancy made for me, however; I am feeling so well at the present moment... My source of depression stems from many things, as some mentioned in their comment.... but these days I am troubled by my chronic pain which has kept me in the house for many years...I wonder if I have ever looked like that when I have been depressed...
Ray.... I came very close to " falling thru the ice"on more than one occasion... having a supportive husband ,2 great sons 5 cats and a few very loyal friends..sure helps... not to mention the love of my sis Anne xoxox
You can feel this picture in front of you. You feel like you are her... Some parts I found very difficult to watch, as I could see myself. I cried. The pain these pictures portrayed was powerful. I did not know until now that you made this video for me .thankyou.. I am happy to report that i have been depression free for a good time... FANTASTIC PORTRAYAL OF A COMMON ILLNESS, AND LET THE STIGMA GO THANKS FOR BRINGING THIS TO LIGHT.
One of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written. Soothing enough to take the edge off anyone's depression, even a speaker-battering Techno-head like me.
Very touching video too.
You are a wonderful artiste and you have a heart of gold.
But I took a lot of acid when I was 13-17 and kinda induced mild schizophrenia. Never been diagnosed but from all the reading on psychology and understanding the symptoms I can safely say I am borderline.
I do believe, we are all susceptible to depression given certain external stimuli; events that are outside of our control, mainly bereavement or loss of love.
It can be all to easy to lose the sense of self-worth.
Very moving, Nancy. J.S. Bach created some wonderful music but none greater than "Air". Combined with your poignant visuals this is truly a treat for the senses, and provides reflection for us all. I've featured it on my channel. Thankyou. :)
Thank you so much Michael.... I worked with The mentally ill and drug addicted , as well... they were the walking wounded... some of the finest people Ive had to pleasure to know and tolearn from...xox
I just spoke with a friend of mine who met someone who is recovering from alcohol addiction. My friend is a musician and this person he met sat down at the piano and played so beautifully...a complete surprise to my friend, and blessing. Again, thank You for YourCaringHeart:)
So very moving. Her hands and arms seem to symbolize her struggle to escape the confines of her depression. The music and her face a struggle for equilibrium. But the dark dog is a constant companion. Take care.
Thank you so much, Jim... Ive never been "clinically depressed "but it runs in my family.. ..been "way down". here and there, tho.... I hope this helps people know they are not alone xoxoxo
