Still doesn't explain how the girl in the polkadot dress knew from which hand she had to hand the paper snippets over. Also doesn't explain how the girl on the stage knew she had to choose 7 to get to the right piece of paper. And it doesn't explain how she came up with the numbers to open the lock.

His explanations only give you a false sense of hope on how to work out things for a while. And then it dawns on you that you have absolutely no $%§§" clue!!!

@Ischi71 but those are isolated manipulations that derren can do. He doesn't need to program someone beforehand which hand she'll choose, I'm sure he has techniques that allow him to do that on the spot, without preparation. Same with number choosing

Do you believe that his explanation of the trick is genuine? Maybe it was intended to misguide us, or to hide a much simpler method (as it commonly happens in magic).

@sebastian6736 His explanation is true. The way he describes it is exactly how it works. Advertising agencies and politicians and all sorts of charlatans and fakes have known these things for years and years and years. You didn't notice any of the cues he gave about the daily mail and 14 until he explained it.
