What on earth was he doing turning towards the pilot stations? Sorry, that is not an oops, that is blatent disregard for safety. If you are to high or fast, a powered plane you go around, A glider i suppose you would have to land as soon as possible and go off the end of the runway. Never turn toeards the pits...ever!

im an aviation nut i was an ad3 usn and flew a2meter rc glider one question at that scale why not just build the real deal

@weasele1 three little letters F A A.... These don't need the paperwork a real glider dose, and almost the same as going up anyway. Not to mention licenses and paying a REAL Cessna to tow you...

That's a monstrous size RC glider! My small cat could practically fit inside the cockpit of that thing! Anyway, nice looking glider that Tony built! Nice flight except for that landing issue! Back to the shop for repairs I guess!

I have seen tony fly, he is not so good pilot, but an excellent builder. I saw him bang this plane in two other times.

Tony is a good pilot and a great guy; just see his reaction on the damage. He spent countless hours scratch building the thing.

Extraordinary performance comes with a price on the demand placed on the pilot. 99.999% of RC pilots would have crashed the thing long ago!

I have seen footage of Tony Elliot flying this SB-10.among his other built from scratch large scale saiplanes; he is an excellent pilot. This is one of those rare times that prove he is human after all!
