One time I was sitting at a traffic light surrounded by cars on a crowded road. There was no radio on loud (including mine), so it was fairly quiet, that is until you heard "Howdy!!!" It let out a sound on my radio that everyone could hear, and everyone in the cars, the old and the young, put a big smile on their faces. Some things are timeless.
She was ath Island Park in Mount Pleasant, Michigan during a carnival.Later in year's I thiught she was great. However, As a child I was wondering why Mother wanted to look at a lady with a tag on her hat. lol That was around 1958
A lot of women seemed to think that our Mother looked like Rose Kennedy. However, I think she looked more like Minnie Pearl who I met when Mother took me to a fair in our hometown of Mt. Pleasant,mi She had the same personality as well.
for 'seangel26'...I, too, was one of those people who grew up liking genres of music that were outside my generation/background and I didn't care what everyone else tho't. My attitude then, was, these people (who put me up to ridicule for my entertainment diet) don't live in my house and they don't sleep in my bed so what they think doesn't matter! There are rebels and then there's me, who rebels against the rebels! That, my young friend, is a rebel WITH a cause!!
I'm related to minnie pearl yeay
