I was told that lawn mower exhaust can ruin your detector.

I have a system just like yours. As of today, the battery light started to beep approx every 35 seconds. What do you think is going on, cuz that beep sound is starting to get on my nerve.

@dinadanna It sound slike you runit has reached the end of its life (they only last about 5 years). Replace with a new unit.

i had one that acted really weird, it would go off for no reason, but when i went to test it like you did with a small engines exaust it didnt evn go off lol
