Will everyone stop saying he is a security guard...he is, my bad was, a cop for Portland, Oregon. And it was a fail on both their parts, the kid for being a smartass and the cop for breaking 3 laws and rights. At the same time, some one such as this security guard should not act like that while representing his security company and the client. It was unprofessional and clearly assault on a minor. He didn't have any professional authority to do what he did. However, he did have an ethical responsibility as an elder/person of authority to put that kid in his place.

police officers tend to forget that they serve the people and even if he was a police officer he has no authority to confiscate your skateboard and such is a violation of your 4th amendment and if this guy was a security guard he just broke a few laws and went way beyond his post as a security guard is a preventer and is only there to observe and report a security guard has as much authority as a normal citizen

if this guy is indeed a security guard then by claiming he is a police officer has has committed the crime of "Impersonating A Police Officer" he is also committing robbery by taking your skateboard with force that is your property and he has no authority to confiscate it and he can only tell you to leave on account of trespassing at worst he can call the police on you for trespassing but you could just leave and he cant do shit but ya he'll probably lose his job if he already hasnt
