Funny you mention that. About a year before this took place, a christian group on campus chalked the sidewalk to advertise an event. The campus made them clean it up. As you can see here, rather than making the students clean it up, they called in the janitorial staff who had way better things to do.

The freedom of speech is very important, but we are obligated to use it appropriately

First of all, graffiti is NOT protected speech. It is vandalism. I can't spray paint "Bush/Cheny '04" all over city hall downtown. If the people had signs saying all this stuff, I would protect their right to do so.
