Oh Boz , you beautiful boy, " I'm still falling for you, and the thrill is still brand new" after all these years! The voice, the passion, the soul,..... Wow! Thanks for posting this song. Thank you Boz for sharing your tremendous talent with us, it's been a pleasure!
HAVE TO BE THE ACTUAL LYRICS. WHERE HAVE YOU GONE BOZ DIMAGGIO? I reeeed Austin Scaggs in Rolling Stone ALL THE TIME. The Smoking Section ? Priceless!
The Lyrics!! my gawd what great lyrics! When this album came out (yes,I said album!) it was the best time in my life,to bad it took till now to realize that,A great album then,a better one now.
Did you know that this album "Down two then left" was originally to be called "Still falling for you", but was dropped in favour of "Down two then left" by the record company CBS. They wanted a more thought provoking title, similar to "Silk degrees" from a year before. "Silk degrees" was originally going to be the title for the 1971 "Moments" album, but the idea was shelved by Scaggs himself, but used to great effect on the 1976 album!
In a funny way, this sort of reminds me of "Lowdown"....good work with Michael Omartian, Carolyn Willis(Honey Cone), as well as Jeff Porcaro and Ray Parker, Jr. and the soulful Julia Tillman Waters.
@dxrulz4life yes a little slower but with the flutes a similar sound.jay graydon also on guitar, david hungate bass on this track .i,m loving hearing this stuff again .i always lean toward middle man or silk degrees even though i got this disc.i,m gonna' play it more though!
I'm gonna pass out. Scaggs' so good. The chorus makes my knees go a little weak. Is Porcaro on drums?

I am definite that these are correct. My wife is going to get mad that I keep using her YouTube account to go back and forth with useless nonsense
