ahh!!! this takes me back to my primary school days and going down to the tv room to watch schools programmes on either the bbc or itv schools on ch4!!! i just wish that more people would upload more bbc and itv schools on ch4 full length programmes so that people who grew up in the 80's and 90's can watch them and relive their childhood!!! does anyone know where abouts online i'll be able to watch full length 80's bbc and itv schools on ch4 progammes? as i have been dying to watch them!

Thanks so much for posting this - I had the vaguest of memories of a 2 dimensional character with a big nose, and a floating pencil - couldn't seem to picture it all... then I found this - this is the exact version of Words and Pictures show I used to watch.

I was In ''reception class'' aged 5 in 1989 and VIVIDLY remember watching this throught Infant school and loved it to bits, it's not on this episode, which nonetheless is brilliant but the magic pencil was the highlight of the programme where we would finger draw a letter of the alphabet as magic pencil wrote on the black background. - thankyou!
