I dig your jams dude! I have done a couple Skrillex videos lately, perhaps let me know what you think? And for the record, I am one of those perpetual drum fill kind of dudes, hopefully you'll look past that, ha!
Funny, today I played this song on drums too and it makes so much fun! I love this small silent part with the bass drum/tom (for example 02:07). But you're 100 times better than me. ^^ You rock! Very inspiring. Thanks for sharing.
If my mom ever walked in on me listening to dubstep, I'd change it to porn. If she walked in on me watching this, I'd change it to child porn. It was just that amazingly dubstep-dirty.
plz respond i am 12 drumming for a year now. i was wanting to know.. if you could give me an idea for a new kit, maybe tow lvl's from biginner? plz? plus you better than most pro drummers out there
After watching this many times, I want to see you play some metal, double bass stuff. Or some post-hardcore music. I'm curious. :P You have that soft, pop side of you, but I have yet to see the heavy side of you.
Dude you said you video this using a zoom, well i have the zoom q3hd and i was just wondering if what kind of kick mic did you use and what type of adapter it is thanks
You're drumming is amazingly unique and catered to the song. You are really talented. I originally saw the Slats cover by Skrillex and pretty much watched all the rest of your stuff. Please keep posting. I think you're gonna be supah famous soon. :D
Awesome stuff as always! I don't know if you got my comment on the other Skrillex video, but I was wondering if you use any preamp(s) (and if so, which) when you record.
@jjolddahgoo Nope, I don't use any preamps. I really do the bare minimum when recording these covers... I just plug a kick mic straight into my Zoom and then import it to GarageBand. I do a teency bit of EQ in GarageBand, but that's it.
@ysmnthelight Oh okay, well how do you like the snare? It sounds very good but how does it do with dynamics? Cuz I play everything from jazz to metal. From rock to electronic. So what I'm meaning, is it versatile?
@DeadLTBow Because of the fact that it is an 8" deep drum, I wouldn't recommend using it for anything that you want a nice poppy high-end crack to. It sounds GREAT tuned low, and I love using it in any rock/heavy situation. If you tape it up, it also sounds really nice for hip-hop/electronic stuff. But yeah, it's definitely a powerhouse! I usually use a shallower drum if I'm doing any lighter/low-volume gigs.
Bro, your first Skrillex cover turned me on to him. Keep doing these. They're really good and really fun to watch. Oh and I hope you get back on your board soon. :P
sick but a lttile bit to much symbol or whatever you call them

Easily my favorite drummer on youtube, hands down.

@dkucia11 According to what I've read, all he uses is one kick mic that's plugged straight into his Zoom. where he puts it I have no idea though.
