  • sick but a lttile bit to much symbol or whatever you call them

  • This is a stupid question but how do you perfectly time the video to your recorded sound? im a bit confuse

  • Fuck you're amazing.

  • Is this recorded with a h4n zoom???

  • I dig your jams dude! I have done a couple Skrillex videos lately, perhaps let me know what you think? And for the record, I am one of those perpetual drum fill kind of dudes, hopefully you'll look past that, ha!

  • THIS IS DRUMSTEP :]

  • doublebassdrumpedalskills... you have it

  • Wish I had that front row seat in the background =P

  • Sharp set man, what brand is it?

  • Evan Chapman.. you are one cool dude =)

  • I love how the camera shakes at the double bass action :D

  • Funny, today I played this song on drums too and it makes so much fun! I love this small silent part with the bass drum/tom (for example 02:07). But you're 100 times better than me. ^^ You rock! Very inspiring. Thanks for sharing.

  • @ysmnthelight Nice sets! Whats the mouth thing you do? What does it resemble? I'm just a little curious...

  • @djviod ...ders is its called "drumstep"

  • I love those hi hats!!!!

  • I like how the camera wobbles when you hit the bass.

    Nice video!

  • *hits snare*

    *drops jaw*

  • This music should be called Drum and Dubstep!

  • If my mom ever walked in on me listening to dubstep, I'd change it to porn. If she walked in on me watching this, I'd change it to child porn. It was just that amazingly dubstep-dirty.

  • @ieatzthetrolls thats filthy

  • probly the best drummer i've seen on youtube so far..

  • Bravo!

  • I love how relaxed you are while playing. Great stuff, man!

  • 3 people are dead right now...

  • u r almost as god as skrillex

  • This still gives me chills everytime I watch it.

The second you hit 1:34 I start to freak out.

So fantastic! I'm a drummer myself (female) & you hit the beat so hard.

It's impossible not to get into it.

Easily my favorite drummer on youtube, hands down.

  • plz respond i am 12 drumming for a year now. i was wanting to know.. if you could give me an idea for a new kit, maybe tow lvl's from biginner? plz? plus you better than most pro drummers out there

  • dubstep is just so god damn sexy to drum too. its just a massive breakdown haha. i think its heavily metal influenced

  • This man is a God.

  • that was absolutely amazing...

  • i love how the camera slightly blurs and goes out of focus during the bass triplet.

  • 1:34 , FRICKIN' DROP! '

  • After watching this many times, I want to see you play some metal, double bass stuff. Or some post-hardcore music. I'm curious. :P You have that soft, pop side of you, but I have yet to see the heavy side of you.

  • wonderful style man!

  • youd probly play more comfortably with looser jeans on

  • what snare do you use my friend?

  • What do you use to record everything else other than your kick?

  • Iron Cobras? SIck

  • I'm supprised he didnt use 4 drum sticks !

  • bro your unreal keep it up

  • how come every time u hit the snare at the start u opened ur mouth??????

  • your hats are massiv.!

  • subbed :P

  • where are your mics at and what are they? i dont see any drum mounted ones but you were still able to get a sweet sound on the recording

  • @dkucia11 According to what I've read, all he uses is one kick mic that's plugged straight into his Zoom. where he puts it I have no idea though.

  • you have no clue how bad i want your cymbals

  • Eww Bare Feet -_-

  • Wow, you deserve to be up there with Cobus broman, this was sick, great job!

  • i love dubstep

  • You should do one of " This is a shark attack" and "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" by Skrillex.

And oh, you've got a new sub :D

  • Dude you said you video this using a zoom, well i have the zoom q3hd and i was just wondering if what kind of kick mic did you use and what type of adapter it is thanks

    BTW nice video favourite

  • rage!!!!

  • dude your double bass pedal rolls are so intense!!

do a cover of cinema (skrillex remix)

    !!!!!!!

  • You should've spanked that hat at 00:41. Still a good cover!

  • your doubles when the dubstep came in absolutely blew me away! Great job, keep it up man!

  • dude i love how your taste in music, toe, death cab, skrillex, mars volta. damn man you're a g

  • Really really awesome. The 2x bass drum sounds spankin' in this! gotta love REAL drums with electronic :D

  • Evan, more dubstep, DnB covers!

    This is amazing!!

  • You're drumming is amazingly unique and catered to the song. You are really talented. I originally saw the Slats cover by Skrillex and pretty much watched all the rest of your stuff. Please keep posting. I think you're gonna be supah famous soon. :D

  • What kind of camera do you use? I really like the quality.

  • I love the tone of your drums so much!

  • <3

  • Awesome stuff as always! I don't know if you got my comment on the other Skrillex video, but I was wondering if you use any preamp(s) (and if so, which) when you record.

  • @jjolddahgoo Nope, I don't use any preamps. I really do the bare minimum when recording these covers... I just plug a kick mic straight into my Zoom and then import it to GarageBand. I do a teency bit of EQ in GarageBand, but that's it.

  • @ysmnthelight What mic do you use? and where do you place it?

  • fucking amazing man. great job.

  • never fail to impress my friend

  • Great, when i got this i was thinkin uhhhhh whattt, it was good tho. Another toe or mouse on the keys cover? :D

  • Yes please, may I have another sir?

  • Evan, you are absolutely amazing. I love how you are so passionate, free, and also professional with your music. Keep it up!

  • Is your snare Pacific Drums by DW Maple Snare with Wood Hoops? Cuz i"ve been looking around and I wanted to know how that snare is.

  • @DeadLTBow Nope, the snare I'm using in this video is a custom SJC with Gibraltar wood hoops. I wish I could help you out bro!

  • @ysmnthelight Oh okay, well how do you like the snare? It sounds very good but how does it do with dynamics? Cuz I play everything from jazz to metal. From rock to electronic. So what I'm meaning, is it versatile?

  • @DeadLTBow Because of the fact that it is an 8" deep drum, I wouldn't recommend using it for anything that you want a nice poppy high-end crack to. It sounds GREAT tuned low, and I love using it in any rock/heavy situation. If you tape it up, it also sounds really nice for hip-hop/electronic stuff. But yeah, it's definitely a powerhouse! I usually use a shallower drum if I'm doing any lighter/low-volume gigs.

  • Bro, your first Skrillex cover turned me on to him. Keep doing these. They're really good and really fun to watch. Oh and I hope you get back on your board soon. :P
