Berman angered me the entire playoffs..."oh NO, between his legs." Thank God for the internet, so I don't have to watch ESPN anymore with its east coast slanted coverage.
This series was beautiful. Everyone in the media was ready for the Red Sox to walk all over the White Sox and meet with the Yankees in the ALCS again. Instead, the White Sox proved that they were a far better team and swept.
I agree that the media has a bias favoring the Yankees and Red Sox, even when they have a bad year. I read a 2005 article published during the White Sox/Astros series run in SI that mentioned the fact more people watched the series when the BoSox played in 2004.
I guess they had to create some article about the BoSox and Yankees, even if both teams choked that year.
@d3nn1s117 No, the Angels beat the Yankees in the first round, so the ALCS was White Sox vs. Angels. I'm just saying that the media was acting as though the White Sox and Angels were mere fodder, and that the matchup "everyone wanted" was inevitable.
@koolever3 what have the White Sox done since? Oh yea now I remember. Nothing. And your shitty fans already started to not show up for the games the following year.
And if you're going to compare US Cellular Field to Fenway Park then you're a fucking moron. Fenway is by far the best ballpark in the game.
@shattertheearth What have the RED SOX done since? Dude..sounding a bit bitter? The White Sox where the best team all year and they proved it ALL thru the Play-offs and Series. Give them there due.
@braamrock the Red Sox won the 2007 world series idiot. Are you kidding me? Do you even watch baseball? Not to mention they broke the record for most consecutive sold out games in the history of baseball.
screw anderson. ill take george bell before id let anderson even thru the doors. we have sweeny and fields!!!!! good time are right around the corner.
We were missing some of our top players this year. Joe Crede, Scott Podsednik, Iguchi is gone, I also want Brian Anderson and Ryan Sweeney to be called back up. I miss Garcia too. I'm depressing myself now. lol.

Red Sox missed the playoffs in 06, we missed the playoffs in 06, The White Sox will be back next year unlike the Cubs they will get it done next year.

With your thought process, I guess 2004 was a fluke for the Red Sox, too.
