All things are not for down town Chicago. The world is full of places where this exact airplane, as is, needs to land and use the available farm road to service the remainder of its mission, a simple box of medicine perhaps. Good Job !
Experimentation. I get it. What I don't get is having that sort of budget for experimentation and being stuck with such primitive technology. The idea driving the concept itself is not all that bad, but methinks the route to execution is -- at least in this instance -- unimaginative and impractical.
@Ace250TreasureFinder Yeah they could have replaced that whole contraption with one electric hub motor on any three of the landing gear what they did just seems like something Red Green would do especially on such a sweet plane.
Let me guess: Too much slip on the automatic clutch, not enough power to move faster than that and it falls over if you do go faster than that. What were you thinking, people? This is utter rubbisch. As stupid as a Reliant Robin, but that was 40 years ago.
@drsteverey The clutch is designed for variable torque which allows for slow and controlled movement all the way to direct drive at higher speeds. We have tested the roll stability at higher speeds. Presently we are working on a new design, visit our website for more.
I would feel like a douchebag driving this around town
