  • Do you know what siren has the alternate Hyper yelp? Instead of the standard hyper yelp, it does a stuttering hyper yelp.

  • @CCFRPUMPER111 ,, I have been away from the internet for a while. I do not know what siren does but I am sure someone around may know more than I =)

  • @CCFRPUMPER111 May be a bit late, but you're probably thinking of the Galls siren...that stupid Thunder tone...

  • I bought the same siren for my dodge, I like it lot but i'm only running 1 100w speaker. it's pretty loud on it's own, of course i tested it out with some friends when i first got it by going out to a little used road miles away from anything, did a few drives bys sounded great, behind another vehicle it wasn't that clear but in defense it was a jeep which has a lot of body/tire noise to mask it when traveling at speed

  • I love the alternate wail and yelp it's what my local pd uses and when I hear it I know they're running hot to something. It's very distinctive over the ambulance and sheriff department sirens.

  • in Airizona are you alud to have sirens like are you a vol. firefighter? or sometin?

  • Does 200 watts make a good difference from just 100 watts. I just bought 2 speakers and i was just wondering if i wasted my money on 2 speakers than just 1

  • It's an ok choice. It sounds a little "fuller / stereo" sounding. I have also checked the wiring in side the speaker to make sure that they are "in phase".

  • @JHEATHJR

One thing I've noticed is that the 200W sounds quieter and "tinnier" on this video. Just so people don't get confused, 200W is indeed louder, the reason it doesn't sound this way, I'm guessing, is because the volume is affecting the microphone on the camera...

  • ihave the same siren and two speakers and really not that much difference really only running one now

  • Wish my state allowed Sirens for FFs with a POV..... In Arizona can all volly FFs use sirens?

  • It is dependent on Your Fire Chief / Department whether he / they approve or not. My Fire Chief told me to have "at least one Red light (360*) and a siren". At this time I have heard that Maricopa County Don't Allow the use of Red lights but the rest of the State is dependent on Department choice. Any one in AZ please comment on this.

  • My department here in Hawaii, we aren't allowed lights nor sirens. My department alone covers an area of 50sq miles and if there's no driver for the engine, I have to respond POV like a regular person driving to a destination. We aren't allowed to enter burning structures. We had SCBAs on our engine, but someone complained and we no longer have them as SCBAs. We do have the thanks though for the air bags. And we only respond to fires, no accidents or medicals.

  • This is the siren i want bad but we cant use sirens/red lights here enless your an Officer...Volly FFs get blue/blue or blue/white if you an officer or higher u get siren with red/red or red/white. ---Arizona as a volly FF u get sirens?

  • I am thinking about getting on of these in my car as a joke to like scare people (that i know) .....nut dont know if it is illegal to have? do you? -Mississippi Resident-

  • I live in Arizona, I don't know the "law's" in Mississippi. You need to ask the Sheriff/Police Or the Motor Vehicle Division about the law's concerning sirens or lights. That's about all the help I can give.

  • lol. and where i live- in oregon -the law says that no car other than emergency or matinence related may have more than one spotlight, only police vehicles may have blue lights. if you are fire personnel then you may have red lights, but not blue lights. so basically if your not with public saftety, you cant have lights- even if they are off.

  • You didnt have any issues parking your car on the 202 and taking photos of it? that was before it was open right? i have always wanted to take photos on there so bad when they were building it

  • It helps to be one of the workers that built it.

  • I'm a volunteer fireman, and I have the 100 watt version in my 1998 Acura TL. I just had it installed so I haven't had a chance to run a call. On my Man1 I have manual coast-to-stop. On Man2 I have SimMech coast-to-stop. HF has the default I believe. On T1 I have the SimMech tone, & no overide. On T2 I have the Alt. Wail with the Y-249 as override. And on T3 I have Phaser with Warble as override. I'm ready to run a call and see it work wonders. Great siren!

  • I am a volunteer firefighter. I ave this siren in my 1998 Acura 2.5 TL. I have the 100 Watt version, and it works great. On my Man1 I have the manual Coast-to-Stop. On Man2 I have the SimMechanical Coast-to-Stop. On HF I have a whole big mix of tones. On T1 I have the SimMechanical, & no override. On T2 I have the Alternate Wail and Y-249 as override. On T3 I have Phaser and Warble. I just got it hooked up, and haven't run any calls yet with it. Too all who are asking a 100 watt speaker works

  • Hey if i get this for my golf cart and use it with 100 watt and have it powered by an electric battery pack u think itl blow the speaker?

  • It wont kill the speaker. Just get a good name brand Battery pack that's what will be connected to the siren amp. The siren amp may not like a cheep or dirty power source : )

  • hey can i power it all by a 1500 watt battery pack

  • if i order one of these and connect it to a battery pack with a 100watt speaker will it blow? thx!

  • in your opinion how do these speakers function are they worth it?

  • They work well. They sound as good as the Whelen, Federal Signals, or Code-3. I have been real happy with them.

  • o thats good ive got a 295SL100 siren and every time i hook it up to 100 watt speakers they tend to blow up

  • im gonna buy one for my golf cart so do u think it will blow up with 100 watt? or do i need 50 watt?

  • alternate wail is good

  • that's cool, but i could do without the woop and warble, OMO.

  • Then just have it so it's not one of the tones, that's the whole point of the siren, customization. Now if you lived in my area, those two would be your main tones, lol...

  • nice siren. I'm thinking about buying one once i get my EVOC certification

  • Go with the 295SLSA6 siren. You can run your lights and siren from one unit.

  • thanks I'll think about

  • is the warble on the front or is there some kind of mod that needs to be done to the unit to be able to use the warble tone?

  • It is programmable from the rear of

the siren unit. Then it can be selected along with the other 12 different programmable siren tones on the face of the siren.

  • Nice Video, Just one Question; Why do you have the sirens just for demonstration or are you a Emergency services worker ???

  • Yes, I am a Volunteer Fire Fighter

for the Jonderosa Ranch in North Eastern Arizona.

My day job is construction work here in the Phoenix area.
