  • Wao! 2009/05! You have the foresight.

  • Ha neet i use 2 psu as well 8 hardrives my saphire 1950pro agp has two power intakes natruly one from a 500W and one to my 400W 11 fans all up how bout gta 4 EFLC people recon cpu rulls that game but i say no no it doesnt hardrive speed says how many things are loaded say trees to everthing. though any and everything is overclock to high atm thanks to a christchurch winter storm here in new zealand gta 4 runs ok on a single core amd 3200 754 chipset i know its my overclock that scears my friendz

  • @Goldenhordemilo do you hate using periods or something?

2 long-ass sentences that make absolutely no sense.

  • @Goldenhordemilo wait what? i think only u can understand yourself?

  • haha this reminds me of EpicMealTime...

    ...next time we make CHIPS

  • แม่เย็ด!!!!

  • Can you play Pacman on that?

I was looking for a new computer...

  • But will it blend?

  • some people have far too much time on their hands

    Sorry jizzed on my Keyboard

  • stupid idiot, you cant defrag a ssd, its bad for the ssd !

  • I do not like Paul.

  • jizzz jizzz jizzz jizzzzzzz

  • watch in the 1:34

  • wenn man auf der selben festplatte eine datei verschiebt wird sie doch nicht real verschoben sondern es werden einfach die informationen wo die datei sich befindet geändert oder?

  • but can it play crysis?

  • @arnoldt14

    Did you watch the video?

Your comment should read something along the lines of

    "OMFG IT CAN PLAY CRYSIS!"

  • It's Really FAST Really FAST Really FAST Really FAST

  • 2:25 "Oh, it's in the video. Silly me."

  • funny...but spidy pc come on... and worshipping computer... u r maniac.. and can u tell us how to attach all that SSD to one MB

  • you have 24 HDDs and not SSDs becouse dont have one motherboard with 24 PCI-EXPRESS 16x Slot ¬¬ Its HDDs with RAID 0

  • @gabrielayumi92 you know theres controllers which can handle 6 or 12 drives?

  • @gabrielayumi92 um dick head an ssd does not need pcie 16x slots (its not 16x its one bye the way) at all u put them in the same way a hdd would be put in you can get ssd that use pice but they didnt so yea get your facts straight

  • @gabrielayumi92 Why would you need 24 PCIe? The socket has NOTHING to do with SSD drives :D

  • Everything was fine until the moment I saw you were running MS. If you want to see something really powerful and awesome you should do this with Linux.

  • How many ???

  • Am i right that this was in RAID 0? Looks like it.

  • Why you feel to be "oh so funny"? I just wanna see the tests goddamit.

  • so does this mean that the more ssd's you have the faster your computer will be?

  • wtf!?

what does hdd have to do with OS running many programs at once? isn't that down to the RAM? HDD is only used to store data not to run data.

  • @xin0 Paging file, dude.

  • @xin0 you didnt learn about computers, havent you?

  • @xin0 Lol...they're SSD's, not HDDs...and they both have varying access speeds...

  • @xin0

A storage device loads into cache and RAM, because seek times of magnetic drives were crawling slow compared to solid state technology. So, when you have an SSD, you make seek times negligible, and instructions in programs read from storage to RAM and cache much faster.

  • 18 people would love to see it on mac

  • LOL U DONT DEFRAG SSD NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOB :( RUINS THE DRIVE

  • @ShinobiSl4sh Does nothing to the SSD as the content is already in order. Only Hard drives require defraging, your an idiot for thinking it ruins the drive plus your 54 followers.

  • @soulisland The content is not "in order", it could be dispersed around the NAND array. It's just that there is no mechanical seek time. The controller simply changes address lines, and there's the data.

  • @ShinobiSl4sh it doesnt really ruin the drive.. in fact,... defragging does not have any impact to SSDs..

  • @ShinobiSl4sh I am sure that they are not "noobs" as you so eloquently put it. He was merely showing just how fast that array is.

  • @ShinobiSl4sh Defragging once doesn't ruin the drives. . . idiot. . . It just add unneeded wear and tear on them. The reason you don't defrag them is because it adds the wear and tear without providing any benefit. It does however show off how fast they can be.

  • @ShinobiSl4sh You do realize he is defragging the hard drive not the ssd's

  • nerds

  • wow lol 133,999 views...

  • 700MB DVD rip?

    that's one tiny DVD.. lol

more like a CD rip :P

  • @Knaeckebrotsaege are you sure what you are talking about? or you have some pretty HQ music cds

  • @Knaeckebrotsaege axxo rips are compressed to 700 mb without losing any quality

  • @Knaeckebrotsaege 700 mb is about right remember that it is movie only and no extra features will normally be only one sound track and no subtitles as well as a slightly lower bitrate.

  • @Knaeckebrotsaege

really? seriously? guess you don't know much about dvd rips

  • @Knaeckebrotsaege Idiot, clearly know nothing about modern DVD rips!

  • 3:20 it laggs we have seen :D

  • I would rather wait 30 second to copy a movie than buy $6000 of ssd

  • i would chop off my pinkie toe to have a rig like this.

  • @rmordica i would chop off a LOT more than a pinkie toe for a rig like this.

  • opfer

  • Bei 3:20 stockts! ICH HABS GESEHN!

  • ich töte menschen und esse hände und bei 3:22 stockts OLOLOLROFLOL

  • These fucking things are $700 a piece.

  • What is that song at 2:34?

  • well its 2010 now dont need 24ssd to get speed of 2Gbps with new snadforce controller sf 2000 new ssd can do 500mbps per sec so 4 of them will do same as it was 1.5 years back new ssd will come out next year from ocz first

  • I wish I had this kind of money

  • some IT guy - your NOT meant to defrag SSDs. It kills them.

  • @sb742 maybe he just did it to see how fast it was? I dunno, but I agree with you :-)

  • @sb742 Defrag doesn't kill SSD's... Though MLC based SSD's have a shorter lifespan already, and defraggine them will use a good number of write cycles, so in essense, you're right that you shouldn't defrag them, but wrong when you say it "kills them."

  • Oh, somebody already did the "but can it run Crysis" joke.

  • lol 13 apple G3 user ^^

  • I wonder how much money it would cost (let's say they had to buy everything and not get any freebie stuff) to pull it off? 2K maybe?

  • @Psychomaze

google for the mainboard only^^ you won't build much of this with 2k^^

  • @Psychomaze

Well, this vid is aqbout 1.5 yrs old it appears. They had 24 SSDs for 6000 gb (6tb) so thats 250 gb each. Samsung currently has 256 gb SSDs. and they are $600 each. So for today's money, you're looking at well over $14,000 just in the drives. Now, 1.5 yrs ago, those drives might have been $800 each. It's pretty staggering.

  • @msmith5150 Well.... samsung asked them, so im sure they at least got employee discount ;) hahaha xD

  • @Psychomaze

a 256 GB SSD drive costs 580, so 580*24=13'920 for the drives alone. The rest of the build I guess would cost about 2k, which adds up to 15'920. This is just an estimate.

  • @Thecommet You might want to reconsider upping your estimate to at least 20 grand for this build.

  • Where is this system now?...

  • i want to build many of these. plans avaliable where

  • That Shit Can Run Crysis! SSD's #FTW

  • Anyone know which ad agency made this???

  • PLease dont defrag your SSD's =[.

    Im getting one !

  • Lauged so hard at 1:55

  • @BWAlucarD what a king aaleluja

  • LOL#

  • #FAIL ...

  • #LOL

  • hey what program did you use to run that test to see how fast all those ssd's speed

  • Why would this make the computer any faster? Arent SSD's essentially for memory storage and fast copy speeds?

In terms of games, the graphics card, RAM and processor are what matters, so how does having a fast HD do anything:?

  • @Phibonnachee When you load a game, your loading the files, therefore you can load them faster and load the game faster.

  • @Phibonnachee That's where many people are wrong. Processors, RAM and Graphic cards reached a speed at where Hard Disks are too slow to read the amount of Data required to process/display. So if you think an Upgrade from 4GB Ram to 8GB ram or from a 2.4Ghz to 3.0 GHz Processor will boost your performance, simply try an SSD!

That alone will boost your performance so much more than any CPU/RAM upgrade could possibly do.

  • I will buy 64 one and see how it works xD

    I should fly :H

  • Paul, the "IT Genius", defragged SSD. That's ok guys, it was just for showing off the insane speed.

  • 12 people are amish

  • they did it to just show how fast it goes in comparison to what everyone has to sit through now with non SSD's.

  • Calm down with the SSDS defrag ladies, life goes on.

  • holy fuckness!!

  • Defrag SD? Does not compute.

  • @megalinkZelda SD? Does not compute. P.S. shut up you wanker.

  • try linux on it =D

  • I want this beast of computer!!!!!!!!

    !!!

  • NICE DEFRAG SSD'S, WHY NOT LIGHT THEM ON FIRE?

  • @testwordz Because lighting them on fire wouldn't be showcasing the porformance whereas defragging them would. Hence the reason he did it you utter and complete cunt.

  • you don't defrag ssd's thats a fail it shortens their life

  • whats the name of the song !??

  • Awesome.

  • now try mounting the drives in the case.

  • @TheCoD456Gamer

LÖL really , u need aposit case XD

  • holy shit i want that pc!

  • LOL big fucking deal xD there was a $200.000 internet connection in Sweden which could download/transfer a 50gb blu-ray movie in one sec.

  • @xStalkerxx yes but you need that much read and write speed in order to get that data on your drives while its downloading.

  • i need the name of this song!!!!

  • how much did that beast cost ?

  • @adaptered @adaptered Well if you pay attention you notice he is using 800mhz ram, which comes from DDR2, knowing there is better things out now you can assume that, that is a Vista Computer, and DDR2 was the best they had then.

Same with the SSD's they are older one's hence forth why so many.

I am doing a similar build and my rig is up to about 1.8k I plan on doing 6 SSD's for a 1020mb transfer rate.

to give you a idea of what it cost back then probably about 18k

  • omg what did you paid ?

  • @Tacese They payed nothing.

Samsung gave the free 24 ssds for them to show the world what speed really means.

  • @FOGoticus dammed ... lucky guys

  • never ever defrag an ssd or any flash drive as every time you write to a flash drive its life is shortened and defragging causes a lot of writing!!!

  • @hutchimodutchimo its a promotional act from samsung you lesser being Thumbs up if you agree.

  • @Lipadoza Thumbs down if you try to illicit thumbs up by begging for it.

  • IT'S OVER .... 2 gigabytes. I #FAIL

  • che figata sto computer

  • How many points did the system get in windows score?

    3,4 :DDD

  • SSD's suck ass! They're fast out of the box but degrade quickly. I've had mine for 4 months and it already has a 30% performance drop. I care more for reliability and SUSTAINED performance. Better off with RAID0.

  • @Snapscape its called TRIM. All new SSDs take advantage of it now.

  • he should try unpacking like 20gb music from a rar archive or sumink like that.

  • Hmm,,, 24 disks,,, 24 times the chance of all your data going poof.

  • brunch of nerds

  • @billy5110

    Are you a canibal?

  • @omfgiwantausername21

what is that question? learn at school dude.

  • @billy5110

    you said "brunch of nerds"

Brunch is something you eat, so by saying "brunch of nerds" you are saying that you want to eat nerds.

What you probally meant was "bunch of nerds" which i can see ofc... I was merely trying to be funny

So, "learn at school dude". Which is also really bad gramma...

  • @omfgiwantausername21

you know what you like to eat, not be because i enevr did, good for you.

  • what song is this?

  • whahaha omfg this is INSANE!!!! Awesome vid man Respect!!!

  • Holy bloody shit.

  • AWESOME

  • Thant is totally crazy !!! it is super fast. I mean crazy fast !

  • it's like scifi movie....

  • POOR POOR SSD'S D=

    DONT DEFRAG THEM!!!

  • what is he using to open all programs in start menu?

  • defrag SSDs? you need to be culled.

  • LOL DEFRAGGED SSDS

  • @stormfox1 @perpiotrredman Maybe he did it to highlight how fast it CAN be done. Just because he did it doesn't mean he's advocating or recommending it. Everyone and his dog knows that defragging SSDs is pointless and reduces their lifespan so don't think you're being smart by pointing it out. Shame on the 21 retards that have given you the thumbs up for the worlds most ego-driven and retarded comment.

  • He just defraged SSD's. >_> Blasphemy. wait.. no.. foolishness.

  • @Drudicta why wats wrong with that? (soz noob here lol)

  • @YaDunn0 It's well known that you don't do that to a solid state drive, it ears it down faster, its nothing like a HDD, the trim command is used for SSD's.

  • @Drudicta Thanks man appreciate that.

  • I think only richer geeks out there will be able to do that. I hope someday I became richer in order to build a monster gaming rig with 24 256GB SSDs.

  • Well, you've got me sold... I think I'll get a single SSD for my page file and games.

  • When are they gonna make 3.5" versions of these?

  • @jamesLG1 I belive they do but they are a bit more expensive, it would be worth to get a 2.5" and use a hard drive adapter to 3.5"

  • Comment removed

  • WOW! holy shit im jelious of how fast that is! this video is wicked!

  • I want that nerk core punk song song playing 00:36 starting. I want that song BAD!! Where can i get it?! NAO!!!

  • How do you get two processors on one motherboard??

  • @ktayor1 maybe a motherboard whit two processors?

  • do you what type of motherboards they will be, sorry, im not too computer savvy!

  • @ktayor1 those are server motherboards.

    servers require more cpu

  • Ok thanks dude. Do gamers use server boards for gaming or is that over the top?

  • @ktayor1 The guys who have 'helped' you are wrong. You can get gaming motherboards with two cpu sockets on them, though they are expensive and rare. Some mac towers also have dual processors. All you need is an expensive motherboard.

  • Lol thanks dude. Was just enquiring was all. Not a big gamer but was interesting to see a board with two processors and was wondering if hard core gamers have these systems set up. I bet they will be useful for animating though!

    Thanks.

  • @ktayor1 Hell yeah :) Whack a pair of i7 6 cores in each one and 64gb of ram (I saw a motherboard that supports that!) and you'll be exporting pixar level stuff in days instead of months ^^

  • Shit yeah dude, my little computer just chugs along when I render. Its like go away, go to sleep, get back up watch a few dvds, back to sleep, get back up again and hopefully it will be done lol. Cheers!

  • That has got to cost a lot... *adds to future lottery win shopping list*

  • i want that computer!!

  • I'm surprised when he was jumping up and down with the drives that none came loose and fell off. I wouldn't be surprised if they were hot glued in just in case because if one fell off that would have been an instant crash.

  • @eurohim It's likely that they used locking SATA cables. The point wasn't to see if they'd get disconnected. It's to see if they would be affected by the bumping and such.

  • @custommadename I understand the point. I just brought up the sata cable thing because in my experience even the ones that "lock" aren't that good, but SSD drives are super light, so maybe in that case...
