try making an event, instead of doing events just make up conditions for every fight that you try to achieve. my personal favorite is a stock mode battle with 3 on 1, your part of teh 3 along with 2 lvl 1CPUs, the other team has 1 lvl 9 CPU, it's easy to beat him but here's teh catch, if you let your teamate die 1 time , you forfeit, i made it up and i really enjoyed doing this homemade event in melee,try it with high stock, takes a long time to beat my 99 stock version,took like a month for me.
