Undoubtedly , the Cummins lump is the mother of all diesels, coupled up to an Eaton & a proper truck driver they are unbeatable. We had CAT ,Cummins & even a Detroit ERF,s on our fleet & the Cummins was by & far the best pack. Spent all today in a FH16 480 with an auto box & I felt like a mere steering wheel attendant . My 9yo daughter could drive it. Mind you shes sat on my lap & steered an ERF around the yard aged 4 lol. Never gonna let her near a wagon when shes older tho mind ! Mugs game !!
Scoobmeister , you are bang on the money. In my 20 odd years driving I,ve driven a few scannys & I,ve not liked one of em ! I really dont see the fuss about em. The best truck I had was an ERF olympic , "only" 410hp but it creamed everything , fully frieghted it stayed on the limiter up & down hill. It put many top power euro boxes to shame on a regular basis , lol.
