  • Hey Tonya!! Great video as always. My name is Tyrone aka Blk Stallion575. Thanks for this video. I'm stage 4-5 renal failure. And I'm suppose to be on a very strict diet. But I'm having a hard time with that. I've been out of work for little over a year now. March 3, 09. Was my last day at work. I'm trying to stay off dialysis. So I'm looking forward to your next video. Oh, what type of camera is that?

  • Tonya, the camera is great, sharp and clear. I really wanna go into rehab this week. I'm a little late. I wanna loose weight quickly and become more radiant without bulking up which is what you seem to have done so I need to get off the sugar first cos I am like a sugar yoyo and controlled by it but I'm prepared to give the white stuff up.   • Thanks for the reminder about Apple Cider Vinegar. I actually have almost NO cravings after it, but I know I need to eat. Makes it a lot easier to eat right.

    Also, aspartame (like MSG) is a neurotoxin which overexcites and actually "short-circuits" nerves, damaging the brain.

  • I started reading the ingredients on bread packages not only for dietary fiber but also for corn syrup. Some of the bread companies that you might think are the healthiest have started adding it. Why?

  • BTW, I've been doing the Apple Cider Vinegar at night before bed when I generally take my vitamins. Any thoughts on that? I have a weak stomach in the AM.

    I'm also gonna try the apple cider vinegar thing, I'm very bad with cravings. From now on, in the morning, I'll only eat my oat meal with cinnamon and milk, NO sugar :)

    I'm SO ready to start eating organic and healthy Tonya! It makes me sick that there are THAT many chemicals and stuff in manufactured food. I've decided to start making all my food from scratch, with natural and healthy ingredienses :)

  • Educate Tonya. especially about reading the ingredients. I know I read the ingredients and folowed the thought that the first 3 ingredients are the highest amount in the food but never paid attention to the rest of stuff. But thank you for breaking it down and putting the breaks on how we read the ingredient part of the processed food.

  • I have switched to sprouted grain bread thanks to you (raisin Ezekiel). It's great and it tastes like bread. It doesn't taste artificial like I thought it would. I can't wait to try the pasta. :)

  • that was me! I lost 10 in a week and a half by cuttin out the gluten and following the blood type diet! However, this video showed me that I've been consuming too much sugar and I had no idea. I'll have to do it next week again :-( No worries though! Im sure the ACV will work! Its a shame that I've just been using it to clarify my hair lol.

  • High fructose corn syrup is fake sugar which comes from fake corn. MSG is fake salt. Which destroys the brain. The body doesn't know what to do with this garbage. T

  • You are helping so many people-way to go! The new camera does not seem as clear. The sweetener we use is raw honey. I drink apple cider vinegar and honey 3-5 times daily. I am SO glad you told us about Food, Inc! My children and I watched it...yikes! "...genetically Modified flakes on my tongue"...LOL! Good tip with the warm water and the apple cider vinegar. OMGoose, If I lose another pound, my fiance is going to have a fit! Great video!

  • please extend the card rehab. I was definitely under the impression that I could have all the foods you listed just not high fructose corn syrup. The breads and pasta were kinda easy for me but the sugar got me good. It would be nice to have a chance to redo the card rehab or extend !!!!

  • Something else that helps with the sugar cravings is to EAT (something healthy) every 3 to 4 hours and STAY hydrated. I am a big sugar fiend and I tried this today and it actually WORKED. I didnt have any sugar today. Eat BEFORE you get hungry because when you get hungry all hell breaks loose and you just want to munch on any and everything. Also when you feel the cravings, try drinking a tall glass of water. Those cravings mean you need to eat or hydrate yourself, not turn to sugar.

  • I would never advocate anyone to eat while theyre not hungry... but to have something pre-prepared for when they are so they can heat and eat... Once the carb addiction is beat, maintaining control around food is MUCH easier.

  • Can you believe that persons with diabetes are encouraged to use Splenda/Sweet n Low?

    Water should be sufficient. You'd never believe how much better you feel once you get off the soda and concentrated "fruit" juices.

  • Tofu is a BIGGGGG no-no, bcz its made from Soy. Soy products have become the biggest scam in this country. People revert to feeling its healthy bcz they feel asian people eat gobs of it. When in fact the soy in asian diets consists of steamed soy beans (Edemame), and fermented soy like miso which are not as bad for you as the estrogen mimicking soy in this country which blocks your immune function & interrupts your thyroid ability.

Well what do you use as a substitute of pasta??

  • Rice paper? Are you talking about the thing which covers spring rolls? How much fiber is in that? How long do you think it will take to burn thru the system, if you think it will burn in the belly quick then its off the list for now.

  • Please go to the healthfood store and buy the pure stevia drops over this crystalized truvia... I dont know enough about it to trust it or not trust it... so just go for the real thing.

    Its up to you. I fyou trust the truvia manufacturers then fine. Go for it.

  • i always thought organic black strap molasses was a nutritious food because of it being a good source of iron, calcium,magnesium and potassium. and also i thought that organic raw honey was good to eat for the minerals,enzymes and vitamins. omg! i feel like i've been deceived because i've been using date sugar, raw honey, brown rice syrup,100% maple syrup(depending in the recipe). Ok, so what is your opinion of vegetable glycerin as an alternative?i will be weening myself off sugar!

  • Oh my, 52, dont get me wrong. No one has duped you. Molasses has wonderful minerals in it, and honey has some wonderful properties as well... but you shouldnt have to eat thru the sugar to get to the minerals. Sugar is Sugar. Sugar begets sugar. Is there any other way for you to get these minerals besides these means? Do you think sugar is a good enough trade-off for the trace minerals present in it? And the cut-off is just during the challenge to break your addiction. Is Glycerin Stevia?

  • no vegetable glycerin is not stevia. it's an ordorless, liquid that's sweet. it comes from coconut and palm oils.thanks for this video. my son is eating gluten free and believe me when he came home to visit he showed me some tricks. like he steamed this kale and it was SWEET! i couldn't believe it but it was.

  • Once you break the addiction you can go back to whatever sweetener you want sparingly... but plz get off the sugar & stop looking for substitutes. Break the Addiction FIRST

  • Agave nectar is bad? Isn't it low glycemic and naturally occuring? I agree that aspartame and sucralose are killers. This is a good video because people need to realize that is not needed in all of our foods.

  • Agave is not "Bad"... nothing natural is BAD per se... but too much of anything (even natural things) is always Too Much... And for spiking glucose levels sugar is to be averted until the addiction is broken... even the natural sugars
