  • There are class man lol

  • that was amazing, and really inspiring to people who are just starting. it was really cool to use new music but traditional costumes, the clash makes people see both sides of the story, what makes you want to keep dancing. keep doing what you're doing and don't let others ruin it for you because you are truly talented and that's what matters. :)

  • This is excellent- and the combination of the music and choreography is really interesting. And by the way- it is certainly a way to make a connection with young non-dancers.

  • They're good dancers, but what's with the music?

  • in Irish

Step dance..each girl chooses her design..specific to her..and keeps it..that is why they don't match..

  • at one point in history the music we now call "traditional" was new and contemporary. Keep the dance alive. Living things move, and change. dead things are the only things that don't grow.....

  • it sounded like thirer feet were singing the words and i thiught that was a good effect

    brilliant

  • soooo good!!! amazing!

  • okay, my take is if you're not going to dance to traditional music then why bother wearing traditional costumes that don't even match?

  • So cool! Keep it up! I do irish dance you know! :)

  • because its fun my dance group danced to hoedown throwdown by miley cyrus and is was fun

  • There's no *rule* that says you *have* to dance to traditional music. As a long time musician and dancer (Irish), I find the most fun crossing over dances and music, or instruments and "types" of music. It's art. These lovely young ladies are having fun and they can express it however they like. Whether it's Pat King or Metallica. Fun is the key. I think you last sentence about "should try to keep..." is rather ignorant and closed minded.

Go girls! Mix it up! Trad won't die b/c of pop music!

  • WOW !!

  • its so cool OMG! I tried dancing to fire bruning and Just dance!

  • SSSSSSSHHHHHHHHIIIIIITTTTTTTT

  • i'm with risseven, wat r all the songs? amazing use of them. i thought the steps really went 2 the music really well.

  • They performed in my school before!

  • rely good thanks

  • omggggggggggggggggg awesome music ideaaaaaaaaaa!

  • Let's keep it traditional. There's very few places for Traditional Irish music to shine, yet pop music is everywhere.

  • I disagree. I am a prelim dancer myself, and we should promote diversity and not just stay with the mainstream irish dance class music (very boring sometimes). pop is everywhere, but the beat of it goes along perfectly with step dancing. teenagers like us can connect to pop music more than brian glynn's "Tempo 2" CD. this video shows girls being creative and stretching irish dancing to a new level in this world. you should be able to irish dance to anything u want. btw, luv the songs!(im a DJ)

  • I completely agree, languagefanatic. Diversity people. It's not gonna hurt you! ;-)

I feel like the comments are saying "Turn that jungle music down!" - that's what parents would say. I say, turn it up! Dance techno Irish. Play flute to Green Day (done it), Color outside the lines!!! :-)

  • i'm going to have to disagree. sometimes irish dance class music can get boring. these girls are being creative and are spreading the awareness of irish dance to the world with a twist. if you love irish dance, you can dance it to any music you want to that gives you inspiration to dance. if irish dance never progresses and develops, how can you expect to still appreciate it? many people dont like it because it's always the same with boring accordion music, which is why so many quit it.

  • Again. Are you the boss of Irish dance? "Let's keep it traditional." If you don't like it, or don't like people expressing themselves in a way that is different from the norm, I say "pooh on you." I am shocked to read so many uptight comments about the music!

    What's up with that? It's 2009!

  • wow, that was amazing!!!

  • awesome im an irishdancer i love this though its so awesome did they make it themselves

  • that was awesome! at my cities irish festival this year my group did a dance to love story by taylor swift

  • haha thanks for all the great comments! i didnt post this video (the reason for the previous title mishap) but im in it and its always cool to know people like it! we did this for a school talent show so its pretty rough (and painful to watch). i havent been dancing nearly as long as pink so she'd be the one to watch in this video:) enjoy!

    but... the music... hahahahaha.

    great video.

  • I love it...

    I wanna learn it.

  • That was awesome! BUT I have to say, there is no such thing as "Irish Tap"! It is HARDSHOE Irish dance. They are exceptional dancers though, I hate treble reels, and they make it seem fun and easy lol. But please, change the title of the vid if you can, it's bothering me.

  • thats FREAKEN AWESOME

  • they sound a little off beat but thats FREAKEN AWESOME

  • Did you compile that music yourself? I am looking for something for my daughters to dance to in thier school talent show. You two were great! That ain't tap dancin!!! Irish hard shoe- very important distinction!!

  • Well done i thought it was a great video and you are both fantastic irish dancers, the music choice was brill keep up the good work girls.x

  • there good except Lauren is evil!

  • they are great! their feet move so fast!

  • irish dancers... and they're dancing hardshoes - no tap involved! :)
