  • Does sound like George's guitar style for sure. I was going to say that they copied it.

  • George Harrison played beautiful slide guitar in this. This song sounds as good today as when I first heard it in 1972. Love it!

  • @steve58502 - Yes, I agree, the song sounds as good, even extremely good today, this is a timeless song,

  • Leon Russell on piano. Golly he's great.

  • one beautiful song

  • This is the real find of Badfinger.

  • Great video. The visuals and sequence are expressive and representational. Great job. I've always liked the song very much. I'ts one of my all time favorites.

  • This song is both melancholy and hopeful. Either way it reminds me the 70's. These years so fantastic!

  • I still have my first Badfinger vinyl

  • Awesome slide guitar! It has that George Harrison sound, of course because he wrote it. This is one of the best classic rock songs of all time and makes me feel soooo good every time I hear it!

  • @Sheilamarie2 Cant believe after all this time that nobody told you: the late great Pete Ham, who you her singin, wrote this one. I think Harrison produced it tho, so you`re close.

  • fuck*n' yyeeeaaa!i!i!! I found you !i!i!i!!

wwwoooaaa I love this beatifulism song !!

and if that word doesnt exist i dont care and i'll be glad for have invented ha ha ha ha...

  • Pete wrote the song, i wonder what its about

  • The best. Who's the guy?

  • LOVE IT

  • This is a classic song.

  • I can listen to this song everyday and never get tired.............

  • when you hear that Paul McCartney wrote this song, you like listen to the song for about 1 second and go, "Yeah, pretty much." ha. great tune.

  • @okcomputer1016 Pete Ham wrote this song. You're thinking of Come and Get It which Paul McCartney wrote for them. And you can certainly tell that he wrote that song and this song is a very similar style.

  • superb song and images.

  • @cosmicrider287 i reemember this song years ago still fantasick

  • so pretty you know who found the m right

  • Another Goody for my friends

  • An ALL-TIME CLASSIC TUNE..Such a JOY to listen to ..And wow, its LEVEL of musicality - the lyrics, vocals, melody, musicianship, production - is so....RIDICULOUSLY HIGH!!!

  • Yes, George Harrison did play on this one and produce it but it was written by Badfinger. I have always thought it sounds like two drummers on this and that Ringo also played on this alongside the Bandfinger drummer. The slow tom fills, one of Ringo's signature sounds, are all over this.

  • Love how this song sounds like 'Breaking Us In Two' by Joe Jackson.

  • @christiemarie27 "Breaking Us in Two" sounds like THIS song, not the other way around :)

  • @BowedOak1 Ok, thanks for telling me. Now I know.

  • @BowedOak1 Both great songs. Not all that similar to my ear, but I can see how one might think so.

  • @christiemarie27

you mean how breaking us in two sounds like day after day haha

  • Harrison produced & plays a dual slide along with Pete Ham, who wrote the song

  • No wonder the guitar is so melodic and with plenty sentiment; awesome George Harrison played it.

  • i dont think GH wrote he produced this

  • Leggs33, George Harrison did write the song. I'm just not sure if he did the slide guitar, though.

  • @Azotronia Yeah peter ham wrote this song, Harrison only produced it and played slide guitar

  • Didn't George Harrison play slide guitar on this song?

  • I'd forgotten how good this song was ...

  • Some of the best slide work apart from "Layla"

  • Does anyone know who played piano on this song?

I do! It is none other than the great LEON RUSSELL.

  • I remember this song very well. I was in the 5th grade back then. This one girl named Lori was absent from school for an extended period of time. I was staying after school to help the teacher wash the blackboard etcetera. I asked her where has Lori been? She said. Phil.. Lori passed away from Leukemia. Won't ever forget that day. i think about Lori everytime I hear this song.

  • @Hope2009pc It is fascinating how our mind works. I can hear a song and it will leave a permanent impression of someone or some incident...Regardless how long ago the memory was it always seems as if it was today:(( Sorry to hear of your bad memory of Lori:((

    Thank you HerkyHawk1985 for sharing.

  • This version is going on my glam rock list just because it's awesome, and glam rock was about getting the ladies, and how could you lose with lyrics like "I gave my love to you?" epic.

  • 1:32-1:58 = epic...

  • beautiful pic of rain drops on the window

    well done overall
