Having same problems as you dude. My friend and I also have to restart the game to try and get co-op to work. It's a really fun game, but man, it's extremely annoying and takes you out of the immersion.

There are so many times when we said, "okay one more time", but the game just ends up losing connection. I hope there is a fix for it soon because I've searched around for solutions and have come up with nothing.
