Good lookin out on the snare info.You are right about the head's and the tuning.I had a royce steel snare.It's not expensive at all. Had a lot of ring to it.I put on a evan's hd dry and a 300 hazy on the bottom. Now it sound's like a 300 dollar snare.It still don't pop like your's.I got a ludwig snare, i'm gonna use the head you have on your snare for that one.

I have a Yamaha Steve Jordan Sig series snare with Evans Genera dry as batter and Hazy on bottom' my kit isnt micd but I know my snare would sound very similar to yours. Your snare has to be cranked up to snap and pop like that cause I know mines is. Evans now makes a Hybrid head specifically for regular snares now same material and everything so you dont have to use the marching hybrid for a regular snare now. Heard something bout if u crank the head to high it can ovelap shell etc etc IDK

@AOKP Far from a pro but trying to get there lol.... jus been drumming for years like you. Anyways like I was saying you should really do a tuning un-micd vid on this cause like every other comment ppl are asking bout there snare. Thing is the avg person watching ur vids are probally not gonna be able to afford a 400-500 dollar snare like ours. Thats when good heads and tuning come in effect. These young kats dnt know that. You can make a cheap snare sound well wit good heads and tuning

Think ppl want to know exactly how you tune your top and bottom heads. Ppl seem to make coments on the sound of the snare. You should remake this video explaining how you tune and show us how the snare drum sounds UN-MICD........ Alot of beginner drummers hear these kits on youtube and dont realize they are micd up kits and thats how these drums sond so good. Think that more ppl should do videos so drummers can get a realistic sound of what the drum sounds like before you mike it up and mix
