Let's see if I can get somewhere with this...Muay Thai wasn't stolen from Khmer, it was fought and compete side by side against Pradal Serey. There's no exact date when we took in the Thai's and taught them our art. Angkor era not just them being enslaved we also make the captured Thai's our army. God knows what happen next after Angkor Kingdom have fallen. Thru centuries Pradal Serey have evolved but not as much of as Muay Thai especially after 1960's-70's..Thailand have market it to the world

if you check out the history of the khmer empire a lot of the land that is now thailand was under khmer rule. reason the khmer empire fall was conflict from both the siam(thais) and vietnamese(who were expanding southward) and internal strife.

well the truth is in Ancient times, Khmer society were more liberal with women's rights. Even by the Chinese accounts, they had way more freedom then women in their contemporaries. The king also had armies of women. Cambodia had once been matrilieach, it still centers a lot on women, but modern times have change things.
