well you have to look at this as a whole first of all its not like either band is blowing the other out they are both talented bands its not fair to compare hay to lol :) two diffrent concepts also with the field show i see it like this the foxies were way better in my opinion than the norfolk dancers norfolks drill was better than morgans and the dance routines while norfolks was more creative morgan was asked by there fans to simply do thriller so idk you can go either way but they both good

I think the thing with this is the songs that are being compared... comparing Hay with Lol =) is not really fair... I mean, NSU, can put of some of the best ballads(look up ANY NSU ballad), as well as crank hard... Hay isn't played with much dynamic contrast, by ANY band.

I, as a musician and a marching band fanatic, can't compare this battle. But, I like Morgan's arrangement. They steppin up in the world. I grew up around Morgan, and as far as I know, this is a new concept(so to speak)...

People can play any song they want but it depends on how you play it...Marching Band is more than just being loud...It about looking and sounding good and having good or should i say great arrangements and thats What Morgan State has all the way

@ladytrumpet010 I take it you are still in high school... We [NSU] DO play soft... during field shows/battles/flag features... we KNOW what dynamic contrast is and we are PROFICIENT at it. But we are ALSO a very competitive band... if you are across the field from us we WILL open up a can of smack on you. Just plain and simple. If you want to see us do some dynamic contrast go look up Lions Tigers, and Bears... there is NOTHING Morgan plays that would top that in dynamics articulations W/E...

Yea i see where you coming from..And yes i am a high school student but my knowledge of music is college level..I love Norfolk too..but I'm a HUGE fan of Morgan State..And trust me i kno yal are competitive..lol you dnt hav to tell me..when it comes to cranking yall do it..but for a small band HBCU Morgan State is sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

first of all the arrangement is not "waterd" its real music..its not about what you play its how you play it...if i wuzn't a musician i would have said Norfolk cranked hard...But i kno what real music sounds like...so musically Morgan State has yall beat...dnt get me wrong Norfolk is not a band to play with...but Morgan State is just cranking..im sorry

@ladytrumpet010 morgan state is crankin!!??...lol LMFAO...every bands excuse when they get cranked on is that they were being more musical than someone...yea...ok...lol No one plays HAY all extra musical, they CRANK it...its fine that ur a musician but you an so am I, but u need to except that crankin is a part of HBCU bands...it always will be..its one thing that makes us different from a DCI or PWC band
