@gangstajacy Actually Venus's surface is much hotter than Mercury's. Position to the sun CAN effect heating but green house gases, like those enveloping Venus can create a much more drastic change (Barring an extreme situation.).
Mercury is the innermost and smallest planet in the Solar System,[8] orbiting the Sun once every 87.969 days. The orbit of Mercury has the highest eccentricity of all the Solar System planets, and it has the smallest axial tilt. It completes three rotations about the axis for every two orbits. only remember this.
I have a theory. Maybe Sun can also have its own moon and that is Mercury because it has No Atmosphere. The whole Universe is full of mystery. We do not have a perfect star to rely on It has no moon orbiting on it. But, I dont think my theory is Possible. Anyway its just A theory of mine.
Mariner 10 was a robotic space probe launched on November 3, 1973 to fly by the planets Mercury and Venus. It was launched approximately 2 years after Mariner 9 and was the last spacecraft in the Mariner program (Mariner 11 and 12 were redesignated Voyager 1 and Voyager 2). The mission objectives were to measure Mercury's environment, atmosphere, surface, and body characteristics and to make similar investigations of Venus.
All this time i thought pluto was the smallest planet until i watched this video... my bad... :)

well mercury is the CLOSEST planet to the sun so it would be much hotter then venus but maybe the environment would be different
gangstajacy 2 years ago
@gangstajacy the reason why venus is hotter is coz its full of green house gases ppl say there might hav been LIFE but was then gased out

Oh ok. Cause the quality reminded me of those antiquated filmstrips they used to show in elementary school back in the day.
