    HAHAHA

  • YES AND GRAYON WAS DEFEATED, MSNBC IS LOSING BIG IN THE RATINGS and Chris Matthews job will soon be on the chopping block with the Comcast Reorganization

    HAHAHA

  • Yes to Public Option. Imagine a college student under their parents insurance policy (but only as a full time student) gets into an accident or develops an illness and is no longer able to attend on a full time basis. Guess what the HMO will tell you. Need more Grayson's in Congress or the Whitehouse.

  • Also doesnt he contradict himself when he says that all the republicans can do are make personal attacks and provide no real solution to healthcare. When what the democrats have done are make personal attacks back and provided a 20 year old healthcare bill, one thats been watered down from what it was. Why the double standard?

  • I'm a Liberal Progressive :)

I support the public Option, affordable health care for all and huge plate size chocolate chip cookies....... thanks for your time (leaves the stage) :P

  • Whats progressivism?

  • Finally, a man with a spine. Let's hope he keeps it up.

  • "People want a congressman who has guts, who says it like it is."

    NO FUCKING SHIT!

  • Homerun Grayson! The man's a rookie in congress and he's already a MVP!

  • Finally - someone who labels the GOP as they really are - full of lies, full of hate, doing nothing by putting up barriers. The "party of no" - cannot be any more clear!

  • the circus is in town and the democrats are the clowns

  • you idiot, the only clown I see here is you

  • I support the public option.

  • And wtf was Matthews blathering about...'you shouldn't call yourself progressive, that sounds like a euphemism for something'.

For what? Likes progress? If you are progressive you can't stand for liberty?

Hell no. I say progressive all the way. Progressives stand for progress and there is no thing better than progress, you just have to include liberty under that umbrella. You can't have liberty without progress, because inequality exists, and you have to progress past it.

  • I think he was giving him advice because the "Conservative" Movement and much of the Mainstream Media have turned the word "Liberal" into a bad word. And liberals have just sat back let it happen. So it's really suprising (in a good way) that somebody who is well established in the Mainstream Media said that. Just my opinion

  • Yeah, I'm a big fan of Grayson right now. His words weren't fully accurate in that the holocaust comment was slightly confusing, however he is right that republicans don't have a plan. He has guts and is really the man that the democrats need right now.

However, yeah, Chris Matthews is really, really annoying. And for some reason he's especially annoying in this interview. He always refers to irrelevant and stupid things and gives irritating opinions.

  • hero

  • Matthews is a terrible interviewer.

  • I'm a liberal, and proud of it.

  • LOOOOOOOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE him LOVE him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If modern liberals love individual right so much as Matthews would have people believe; then why is it that a liberal has introduced the legislation to extend the Patriot Act? All of it's cosponsors just happen to be liberals too. And if liberals believe in individual liberties then why do they support a government run healthcare plan that forces people to get healthcare?

  • if everyone has health insurance then the cost will drop. there will be less people going to the ER uninsured and bailing out on the bill which goes on to you to pay, kind of like you getting in a car accident and you put in a claim your rates go up. get it?

  • That has really nothing to do with what I said. Individual liberty has nothing to do with costs in healthcare. A use of force takes choice away from an individual. And as far as costs going down it has already been proven government run anything is never more cost efficient. Medicare and Medicaid being prime examples. It creates inefficiency, destroys innovation, creates carelessness, and forms monopolies. Lets not forget it promotes wastefulness and unneeded coverage.

  • "Yeah I'm a Liberal. I believe in opportunity for everybody, I believe in freedom for everybody, I believe in liberty for everybody. I'm an American of course I'm a Liberal!"

Also applies to being Christian... Jesus what a fucking socialist!

  • say again about Jesus!!!

  • "60% of the American people do not want public option" Must be a fox or Rasmussen poll. The real polls show well over 60% DO WANT A PUBLIC OPTION.

  • Hehe....you wont get your public option...because your WRONG! Get a job and pay for your own health care. The Government doesn't have one successful program...Liberal or Conservative...keep them OUT of my family's health...it's NOT their business.Oh BTW...I hated Bush too...I'm a Libertarian.Take care of yourselves and your family...without the Governments help. YOU ARE NOT THAT WEAK...PROVIDE FOR YOUR OWN!

  • I actually own a small business with over 100 employees and I work over 70 hrs a week. Personally I have great insurance and I have enough money so the insurance companies will not cancel me. Libertarians THE FUCKING DUMBEST IDEAL EVER

"I value watching others fail and the suffering they endure as I succeed" fucking stupid. A Libertarian society has never existed and never will. Now you run off and find your Unicorn whilst the rest of with brains figure out how to deal with real issues

  • yakuzelizard,

Actually I completely disagree... we WILL see a public option, because Pelosi said the house will not pass a bill that does not include one. It's a non-starter.

Those conservative Democrats who are holding out right now will soon see that they will not want to be on the side of obstruction, lest they let the Republicans drag them down while their party drowns in their own tears.

And your statement about government programs is so false I don't know where to begin... the USPS?

  • @ Yakuzelizard

there's nothing Libertarian about what u say, first of all it seems that you don't know or understand the role of the government, it's only reason for existence is for the well being of the people.

second even people with jobs are still being screwed because the cost of health insurance is sky high in America, and your saying that people should only get treated for illnesses if they have the money to pay for it? what if a single parent can't pay for her kids to get treated?

  • Far, far more than 40,000 Americans die every year from iatrogenic, ie. doctor-caused, diseases--wrongly prescribed drugs, drug side-effects, etc.

  • "Everyone has to chip in... no one is getting a free ride here."

    That means forced.

  • We are already forced to have car insurance. So whats your beef? If you already have coverage that doesn't apply to you. So again, whats your beef? If you don't have insurance and have been using the system for a free ride then what's your beef? If you don't have insurance and get seriously ill, May God have mercy on you.

  • Do you give people this same type of logic when they passed the Patriot Act? As long as it doesn't affect me then I should allow anything to go? My problem with it is the expansion of government and what happens to liberty when that government intrudes into my life. Which is the LOSS of those liberties. Like cutting out on my insurance company if I decide not to have it. Now, if I do that i'm going have a month deadline before Big Brother fines me. 'm pretty sure this argument is above you.

  • I took my cane and chair and camped out in the streets of my fair city, I wrote every member of every committee involved, I visited my own reps office more than once, all in an effort to stop the patriot act.

    Very little is above me.

You are supporting the very group that took away most of our liberties (the GOP.)

Has it not occurred to you to fight for universal coverage and end this assault on the health of our nation, it's citizens, and our economy?

  • I'm not supporting any group. I am supporting my right for the government to stay out of my life and my pocket. Expansion of government is almost always bad.

  • how so? the last time I checked the police that you count on to protect you from thefts and the fire department that you count on to put out the fire in your house are both run by the government, if the government is so useless then why are these two government run programs so successful? The governments job is to insure the well being and protection of the people. but alright I'll hear you out, if expansion of government is almost always bad then name a few programs that support your opinion

  • DMV, Public School, Medicare, Social Security...

  • @dralavant The obvious ones would be: Department of Motor Vehicles, Immigration service, CIA, Department of Education, Department of Homeland Security (DHS recent successes: The bomber who snuck onto a plane on christmas day...DHS was literally called on the phone by UK intelligence, Nigerian intelligence, and then the bombers OWN FATHER who r\epeatedly pleaded: "My son has gone crazy. He is going to blow something up. Here's his full name. Here is where is is. DO something."

  • "the cost of delay is death"

    dead right.

    That's my muthafuckin' congressperson!

  • Hardball sure has fallen since Tim died,

  • I bet fox news is digging up on this guy just to find ANYTHING to attack. Has Glenn Beck called him a communist anti american racist progressive yet?

  • He's a marxist nazi baby killer that got sick while satan ate his soul. These are the sacrifices one makes in order to speak coherently, get into Harvard, and have critical thinking skills

  • it is possible.

  • Grayson is my hero.

  • "and this is an old jesuit talking"

  • and people flooding in and making a contribution, what a bunch of crooks!

  • Grayson is in the closet

  • he's also a hypochondriac, or his mother was a paranoid worry-wort
