@mobiusonez06 Unless he knows how to handle the horse power, then yes it's suicide, I've known 16 year olds who could drive their GTO's, and other sports cars better than most 40 year olds have been for the past 20years. It's all about knowing what to do, Especially if you are taught young, but i doubt this kid has had any lessons from his dad on how to handle cars.

yeah i agree. im 16 and wanted one (i could afford it i got a job and all) but mom and pop kept sayin no. i finally got my dad to atleast let me test drive one..well i came out of the dealer and made a turn while lightly tappin the accelerator and the back end broke loose. this is def a car for when you get out of college and you had some experience drivin

i cud say i agree but not fully bcuz im 16 too n my dad just past me down me a slightly modded manual 02mustang gt,i handle tha car well...so its mostly bout maturity n im immature n i do a lot of dumb thng with tha car (racing,powerslides,ect...) so its about if ur mature enuff to handle a car with tha much power

thats not so much im matuirty as it is self control. my dad just bought an 08 charger rt with the 5.7 hemi. its supposed to get 20 some miles to the gallon but he has an extreme condition called lead foot. lol so i mean its just about knowing the car and knowing ur skill

Dude, I gotta tell ya, I turned 16 not long ago, and I love a nice GTO, but even I understand you put that much power in the hands of a kid your ago, or even my age, theres a good chance he/she will wreck it, or kill themselves.

Hopefully when I'm 18 though... I'll find me a nice used GTO to have some fun in..

SUPPOSEDLY the suspension made the tires wear down quicker. Thats the only "defect" I know of revolving around the GTOs.
