  • Crime of the Century!

  • Yeah where is Nothing Else Matters?

  • never knew drift away by uncle kracker was a remake

  • @loganrandolph yeah i like the original the best, michael bolton did it aswell

  • from 4:00 to 4:50 the only thing i thought was "The Warriors"

  • good music...Thanks for sharing it

  • Nice video. Even though it's your 1st video. GREAT JOB DUDE. Good effort too.

  • Sorry bro..Stairway to heaver ain't gonna grate.. it just drives you to heaven..

  • 5. I never got the whole thing with these guys. They harkened rock going entrance into middle age. They're that cheesy ex-hippie that just couldn't let go and became a sad, pathetic shell of what he once thought he was.

    4. CCR always kicks ass. This is a great song amongst many. If only they were the country rockers that people always played on jukeboxes in every bar. Hotel California ages pretty quickly!

    3. You know what? Pink Floyd is more overrated than the Beatles. They don't rock at all!

  • @JackOfferlott You must be a guy that doesn't know anything about pink floyd unless "another brick in the wall" so don't even think to judge the best band ever.

Listen to Echoes live at pompeii, time, shine on, have a cigar, high hopes, pigs, sorrow, hey you.... and and all their other masterpieces

  • @benemles

Masterpieces, or masturbatory exercises in excess? I don't know. Pink Floyd's music just seems to drone on and on with no point whatsoever. We get it, you miss Syd Barrett and you do a lot of acid, blah blah blah...

  • @JackOfferlott i don't like at all the music of syd barrett's pink floyd. Does any song i've talked about figure in his album? the albums i admire are the ones made between 70 to 80

  • @benemles He speaks the truth

  • Great video! Thank for posting it. I love commenting on these compilations. Remember, no offense is meant on you. I'm just offering an opinion.

    10. Dobie Gray's one big song. However, it's a true classic! It's like a really good Bob Seger song!

    9. College music...

    8. Supertramp sucks, but they have mysteriously have a bunch of songs I like. I don't get it.

    7. I'm glad he retired to become a terrorist. Cat Stevens sucks.

    6. Billy Joel is a grossly underrated songwriter and performer. He rules!

  • 2. Bob Seger sucks. He really does. I know every schlub from Michigan will defend him to the death because they're supposed to, like rednecks always defend Skynyrd because that's what they've been programmed to do. That doesn't change anything, group mob or not. Seger sucks.

    1. Uh oh. Speak of the devil. Oh well, there are a lot worse. To be fair, Skynyrd doesn't necessarily suck. They're just grossly overplayed. Bands with a person's name typically aren't that great. Jethro Tull anyone?

  • except for lynerd skynerd and the eagles its more 70's style, the best rock ballads where made in the 80's man go look over there

  • nothing else matters? LOL you are idi**...

  • Beau ur a fucking moron lmao it ddnt say POWER BALLADS it says SLOW ROCK/BALLADS pull your head out ur ass and pay attention he picked some good songs and he is right alot of these songs are left in the shadows of the hits but they are still good damn songs great job highland

  • if u want to hear a real power ballad, listen too every rose has its thorn, by poison, is this love, by whitesnake, nothin else matters, by metallica, blind faith... by warrent, and heaven... by warrent, those r real power ballads..... not this shit

  • @BeauRockz Hey man this nusic defined a generation. these are songs that keep you sane and make you feel good. And don't dis skynyrd most of the band died in a plane crash man. so get over it or go home fuckhead.

  • @ToolManJT dude r fuckin kidding me, these r songs people wood listen to wen they get high, im not sayin there bad songs, cuz i like them, but they r sure as hell not power ballads

  • Good Job. that was cool.

  • Do u wanna take it easy babe, i can do that :)

  • crime of the century! fuck ye!

  • Where is Dire Straits's Romeo and Juliet! o.O

  • THis is one bad ass list man keep it up! p.s. bob seger - night moves... NICE!

  • In fact I think I will make that 70s video right now. Be sure to take a look when it is finished.

  • Scratch that, I will do my top 10 underrated songs.

  • the hunters and collector's guitar riff is so similiar to boston's more than a feeling

  • @jessewang1 I was just thinking that too, I'm like, that's not boston,

  • WOW, I really should have picked that up, I really like Boston and I love both More than a feeling and Holy grail, but I didn't make that connection. Thanks. By the way, Im looking to do a top 10 70s songs and Boston will definatly make an apperance.

  • @jessewang1 your right that is the riff..nuts huh?

  • @jessewang1 - when i was younger i used to play the riff for more than and my friends always thought it was holy grail.

    drove me crazy!

  • nice!!

  • very good, different songs from the norm, keep it up

  • i agree with Krinkme...great job, great choices!

  • Love the selection man, a much needed refreshment to the typical and overplayed rock ballads, some of the idiots on here requesting songs such as wish you were here or stairway or bohemian rhapsody obviously didnt read what you stated as the purpose of this video. although i must say the joe walsh version of in the city (as shown in the warriors which is an AWESOME movie!) is far better than the eagles

  • I actually do think the joe walsh version is better, but i was wrapped in the fact that all the band members were doing in the city and i had to put that version in there. Though personally i think that the joe walsh version and (are you listening boppers) the warriors is terriffic.

  • i love pink floyd so much

  • He just said he wanted to make a list with songs that werent known by much people And he even said that he knew stairway to heaven was the better song .blabalbla

If u will Comment atkeast look all te video

  • great songs there.. check out my best rock ballads ever collection, 8 parts

  • I think that Angie from the Rolling Stones should be there as well. Or Faraway Eyes or As Tears Go By.

  • great election putting tuesdays gone in number 1 possibly the rock ballad ever existed

  • november rain ? :(

  • could've used Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd

  • excellent!!!

  • you forgot purple rain, hotel california, starway to heaven, bohemian rapsoydy etc...

    but nice list though :D

  • sontg number 9 kinda sound like more than a feeling from Boston!

  • Amazing Choice :)

    Loved It.

  • I love allentown, it's a great Joel song that is often overlooked as his best work.

  • Great job guy! but i would add Ten Years After too, it's an awesome band!!!

  • i agree with stairway to heaven and i think its top 5 most defiantly

  • Beautifull man :) VERY beautifull :)

  • That was fun. Thanks.

Don't know what r feelings are toward Clapton perhaps you could have slotted him in there ....

  • nope... his name is dobie gray... thats right

  • this is cover of Proconsul-fiecare zi

  • FADE TO BLACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nice vid mate . holy grail is one of my favorite songs , thanks.

  • muy buen video. excelente

  • Well, Us and Them is actually my favourite song ever written, so I didn't want to put it on the list and give it a number.

  • YES PINK FLOYD AND SUPERTRAMP!!! what about us and them?

  • number 7 sounds like a michael jackson song

    well the title anway

  • dude where tha hell's dust in the wind by kansas?!!!!!!

  • get vid not bad for a first go. keep it up. good choices for the songs to well done

  • wow u picked the theme of happy gilmore to be the number one ballad lol

it tis a good song though

  • Very nice...

  • wooot go supertramp!

  • Nice song selections.

  • great music

  • By the way, I only clicked on this because it popped out in my face, and I thought it'd be good for a laugh. But I'm happy to see you included the songs you did, and not the other type of crap. A rock ballad can be so beautiful, if written by someone who knows what they're doing; Todd Rundgren's "Love Is the Answer" is a perfect example of a ballad, in my opinion. Pink Floyd's "Echoes" is one the most beautiful songs ever written, but a ballad can't exceed 20 mins., if you're trying to get a hit

  • With the whole slow rock/ballads.

    I did mean different genre's.

    Slow rock as one type.

    And ballads as another.

  • I wouldn't consider any of these songs a "slow rock ballad" except for the Skynyrd song, perhaps. I always thought that moniker refered to the overly sentimental, whimpy token accoustic shit that metal bands did to please the guuurlz...you know, "Every Rose Has It's Thorn", "More Than Words", etc,..

  • Hey you got a great collection and thanks for commenting. Check out all 3 parts of my ballads collection

  • Number 9 isn't a slow... i think...

  • Not as slow as others, but it is a power ballad.

  • GOOD VIDEO!!!

  • nice

    =)

  • Echoes, 23 min, pretty long.

And the message at the end was so FUCKIN TRUE !

    Really nice vid.

  • good video

  • great #1, i completely agree

  • Thanks Mate. Love the guitar work.

  • I actually havent heard like 10-6 and then it got better with the eagles, floyd etc. And I actually remember the song Have You Ever Seen Rain, its a good song and i forgot who sang it...good list and great vid for ur first

  • i belive its have YOU ever seen the rain by CCR
