  • I've been a Script Supervisor for a few years now based in London. I love it.

  • I love this. I had this very same discussion on my last set!

  • If this was television, you'd add: "Let's get the producers in on this conversation, see what they have to say."

  • This is SO funny!! ;) Thanks for sharing!

  • this is great. I'm working my first script supervision job tomorrow. Any tips? Do I have to have certain charts, or can I make my own as long as it is organized?

  • @Trinivalist Congratulations on your first gig as a scriptie! Now for the good news...

In most productions, you can use whatever forms you want--most people don't care if you use "official" forms as long as what you write is neat and legible (and, of course, you can match things from your notes). The single best piece of advice I can give you is to ask questions--any time you're not clear on something, ask. Don't guess or assume. You can't ask too many questions.

  • @Dykstrav Thank you for the advice. i did the job... and did it well I might add. I hope people give the scriptie much respect because that is not an easy job.

  • I see it 1/3 of the time!

  • I would be so fired if I would have such a lengthy discussion, but I had many discussions with many of the points being made. It makes me laugh...thanks for sharing.
