Their government has been declaring wars and planting bases (military occupation) all over the world. @delreydavid If nothing more, we need a Jewish state so that we can have a place to go and be safe. Where we know that no pogroms will happen. You need to a little more research its not that hard to find, there are Jewish Government minsters in Iran, the only Muslim country that does not practice freedom of religion is Saudi which was put there by the UK following the decline of the Ottoman Empire for political economic reasons, hence the special relationship it has with the UK and USA today.

@QuietWyattON Yes this is true, I was referring to the legal sense that they are allowed to practice other religions in Iran, all be it subject to state law. @Kinkspace I do agree that is has become a vicious circle and neither side is entirely right or wrong but I do want people to know that Israel has tried ot make peace. We release hundredds of prisoners (many with blood on their hands of both Jews and Muslims) and we get body bags back and the world says nothing. Gilad Shalit is still held priisoner in Gaza after all these years. Sometimes the human side has to deal with the "enemies" inhuman side.
@QuietWyattON There have been many injustices on all sides, the population being used as porns in a larger game not of their choosing, in many respects how this long conflict is resolved will have far reaching consequences for all of humanity.
Whilst there are many on going imprisonments, abuses on all sides, which I have no doubt will continue. I think it needs to be addressed not in a manor of negotiation of the finer points,
@QuietWyattON reawakening old wounds and possibly creating new ones. Sometimes it is not always good to move forwards too quickly, especially in the wrong direction, it may lead us back to where we began, but instead consider one of non negotiation.

Their government has been declaring wars and planting bases (military occupation) all over the world. The rest of the world hates it, and since it doesn't differentiates between Americans citizens and their government, another 911 will most likely happen. What can individual Americans do? We are humane and it might behoove you to do some research (which you will no doubt tell me you have done but we both know you have not) to understand that anyone can come to Israel for medical aid and we send medical teams and help to every disaster. @delreydavid If nothing more, we need a Jewish state so that we can have a place to go and be safe. Where we know that no pogroms will happen. No holocaust and a place where we can insulate ourselves (or try to) from anti-Jewish actions. I say Jews have not been accepted around the world and that is why we need a Jewish homeland. We need one because we have been expelled from lands (including our own) and we need to govern ourselves.

Israel, I believe needs to stay focused on the Jewish people. This is why it exists but we need to be humane.

@QuietWyattON I seem to recall the Iranian Jews when offered $60,000 to relocate to Israel declined the offer as they were proud Jewish Iranians. You need to a little more research its not that hard to find, there are Jewish Government minsters in Iran, the only Muslim country that does not practice freedom of religion is Saudi which was put there by the UK following the decline of the Ottoman Empire for political economic reasons, hence the special relationship it has with the UK and USA today.

Yet, the Jewish communities in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Egypt, Morocco and Algeria have all but disappeared and the Jews from Turkey are leaving now. We release hundredds of prisoners (many with blood on their hands of both Jews and Muslims) and we get body bags back and the world says nothing. Gilad Shalit is still held priisoner in Gaza after all these years. Sometimes the human side has to deal with the "enemies" inhuman side.

@Kinkspace Part of the problem is that ideologically, many in "palestine" (or at least those in charge) see freedom as not a good thing. They seek to rule with an iron fist and part of that rule means the absesce of Israel.
