Oh wow! I drove under something like that myself and unfortunately... not much happened on the other side! Was bizarre... But driving under that was very scary. Great footage, it's a beautiful looking storm.
actually depending where ya live and the type of storm producing a gustfront they can be long...the short lived ones are normally daracheo thunderstorms they are a squall line and take a distinct bow shape... but can have very high winds and hail... but in the case of the formation of a slow moving supercell an outflow boundarie could form causing these formations or(shelfclouds)but these storms can last for a while u probably live in a region where darecheos frequentley occout ex. indana-ohio

Not actually a wall cloud though. These were straight line winds from a gust front. It was a traditional "bow echo" formation.

those storms are always rip offs! they have dark clouds, yet the storm last for like 5 mins.

i had a baseball tournament in naperville that ended 1 day before the storm so i wasnt hit by it
