  • I wasn't really watching the screen and for a second, out of the corner of my eye I thought the white coily cable was the decoration on mariachi pants.

  • LEFT (Newer - 2N1308 Transistors) - more treble and more transparent

RIGHT (Old - CV7112 Transistors) - more bass, gain, and fuzz

***as always, it depends on what other gear you're using, how all of your gear complements/works against each other, what sound you're looking for, how it feels, and what you're willing to pay***

  • Old one for me

  • I like the old one more... they sound very close, the old one has a little more character, newer sounds more refined.

  • Prefer the newer one, it seems thicker.

  • Dance, coily! Dance!!

  • Hrrm, so close but I did find the original or older one more pleasing, there was a harshness to my ears when the newer one was used.

  • you forgot to point out the white koilly cable!

  • I personally like the old one it has a warmer sound or more subtle I should say.

  • i rather hear the marshall cranked...nice lp!

  • 4th reviews are always the best =P

    this pedal sucks

  • If there is any difference, it's very subtle on a YouTube video. Seems like the older version has a leaner, tighter sound, maybe a bit thinner and the newer one sounds a bit fuller, bigger and more open. What was your observation in the room?

  • @danakerman you pretty much nailed it...ROCK ON! GMD

  • Comparing versions now? lol

  • Hooray for treble boosters!
