  • I have to tell this, what a beatifull soap I really will miss it. Reid the most, poor luke he is the only one who not have a happy ending.

  • :'(

  • @ asiangirl786NL -- Vienna left like a month or two before the finale due to Henry finding out she faked a pregnancy and Henry realizes her loves Barbara and Brad dies the day Katie gives birth to their son, Jacob. He sticks around in spirit (haunting Henry) until Christmas when he finally crosses over into the afterlife. You'll enjoy them when you see them.

  • finally everybody happy.....

    where is vienna?? and brad?

I will miss you but in holland we can see atwt for a litlle while. i am whatching at least 14 years

  • I've started watching this show when my mother started watching. And I was still in High school. It's been about 20 years for me. It's so sad to see a great show end like this. :-(

  • I've started watching this when I was 17. And that's 23 years ago now. I'm really gonna miss all of them. Bur I still have 2 years of ATWT to go cause here in Holland we are a bit behind :-)

  • Thanks for Uploading.

  • Beautiful End especially between Carly & Jack The two voiceovers in the beginning and in the End´the "Good Night" and pull down the lights are great

  • Sad to see a good soap and wonderful characters come to an end. Wishing the best for these great actors! Loved Bob's voice over and the last scene.

  • @TVtrivia22 In the very last scene, the least they could've done was somehow morph the background music playing into ATWT's closing music used during the 70's. Then at the end, begin playing the violin part of that closing theme after Bob says GOOD NIGHT, zoom into the globe, and AS THE WORLD TURNS appears in it's original font over the globe while the music plays out. If CBS couldn't give us a full credit close with 70's closing music, then CBS could have done this at the very least.

  • I knew that globe on his desk was gonna spin sometime. I was thinking he was gonna spin it.

  • How can this be the end :( I would do anything to watch Katie and Chris get married, Carly giving birth to another baby of Jack, A few more fights between Barbara and Emily, Lucinda being happy with John... anything, everyone... just a few more episodes... just a few more years :(

  • Thank you Oakdalian for uploading this episode and for everything else you have uploaded. I've watched this show for 20 years and I never thought this would ever happen, but it did. To quote Colleen Zenk (Barbara) from what she said on twitter "A day full of tears...and then it's gone.. forever...but, forever in our minds & hearts"

It was an amazing 54 year run for As The World Turns.

  • Thanks, as always, for posting!!!! Terrific ending!!!!!

  • I have never watched this show, but this ending even made me choke up. Sorry to see another soap go. One bright spot: Roger Howarth is out of work...possibly....a return?

  • I liked Bob's scenes and final scene, but overall the show was quite boring. And considering that Eileen Fulton (Lisa) started on the show a few months before Don Hastings (Bob) it was insulting that she BARELY had a line in this episode!! I really think the writers/producers must have hated Eileen to do that! I can see why the show was cancelled, it has sucked for about 10 years now. It peaked in the 70's...then became a typical, pretentious, PLASTIC show!!

  • I lost a dear and beloved friendship yesterday that started 32 years ago. I will always love and cherish ATWT and it will hold a special place in my heart. ATWT was an American classic. I hope America and broadcast TV will someday return to this genre. It is sad to see that even with 500 plus cable stations full of junk, we are left with very little.

  • @poosandabbey it was 20 years for me. I know how you feel.

  • thank you Oakdalian for the videos.

it's so hard to say good bye to this show. it has been a part of my life and my family's life for so long, it's become like a part of my family history. So, as Kim suggests, I'll just have to say 'Good night' and I'll never look at another spinning globe the same way again.

  • Thank you for posting Oakdalian, I cried like many others. This was the best daytime drama, I loved the ending it was a fitting tribute. I will always remember Oakdale Illinois, at least there will always beYouTube to watch ATWT. Thank you again Oakdalian

  • I sure wish the producers would have thought ahead and filmed Helen Wagner saying the last line, "Good Night". They could have had Bob think of her in a flashback. They could have recorded that long ago when they found out about the cancellation, after all, even if she would have lived she may have been too ill to film on the last day of shooting. But having Don Hastings say the last line was the second best choice.

  • 1956. Nancy Hughes: "Good morning, dear."

2010. Bob Hughes: "Good night." And to think for 50 years, Don Hastings has been one of the constants, with Eileen Fulton with just a few less years under him.

Although the suits screwed us over along the past decades, it was a wonderful ending to a wonderful show. May you keep turning forever.

  • So sad this show is over. I love it and thought it ended perfectly. I loved the finale with the globe spinning. Perfect ending.

  • Thanks for uploading this. Last episode...in some ways it doesn't feel like one. I don't know if that's good or bad. I'm glad that most of my favorite characters left on the show got to have some happy moments, so I will be happy with that.

  • I just wished that Chris was all better so that he and Katie could have had that last dance with Henry and Barbara. :)

  • watching this made me so sad :(

  • wsa there not a part 5? i feel like i lost something somewhere...

  • I wasn't a fan of the show, but I have to say this is one of the best endings of a soap ever.

  • thanks oakdalian for posting this

Im crying my eyes out because i love the show and it helped me trough some diffucult times so i'll miss it so much!! im from holland so we have like 1.5 years of episodes left but i had to see it thank god for youtube thanks ATWT for all these years and ggod luck too all the actors on the show ( Special thanks to Van Hansis for telling this story loved your character)

  • Does anyone know the music playing in the background from 3:41 to the end? I've heard it before on a different show and have been trying to find out what it's called cause it's such beautiful music! If anybody could help me out with this, I would really appreciate it. Thanks! :)

Farewell to ATWT, a great soap opera! It will be missed!

  • @hwaprincess I think it's music from the movie The Prince of Tides.

  • @atwtfaithful Thank you. I researched the soundtrack for The Prince Of Tides and sure enough, that is where it's from. Thanks again for your help. :)

  • I love that the last line of the show was Good Night...The first line of the show was Good Morning. Just Perfect.

  • it's over:(

  • Wow colleen looks so good! How old is she=

  • @shanti3310 57.

  • Congrats 2 ATWT on 54 seasons!!! What a great run!!!!

However, Im surprised the words "The End" didnt appear on the screen before fading 2 black like how GL one year ago tomorrow...

  • @WheelerBF cuz its not the end... its just.... another night over :)

  • Thanks for posting Oakdalian. Such a sad and beautiful ending to a great show. An end of an era. But the World will always keep turning and living in each of us -- its fans forever...
