this is a song that was rejected initially by the djs when the promo discs came out... until MTV aired it, and folks loved the video... this is one of those rare songs that the VIDEO totally saved and turned this loser into a huge hit. The band tried to follow up on it's success, but never could! The sequel to this just blew rat balls!

If the Safety dance is jumping about with your hands flailing above your head, as shown in the video, then it doesn't seem so safe to me. The chance of someone taking an elbow to the head seems rather great.  I think the safety dance should somehow involve fluffy pillows. Those are pretty safe.
