professionals dont stop songs they make do, i've seen people play with two broken strings. a song stopped in midflight might as well be scrapped, first impressions are everything, mistakes r for practice. not concert. thats a bad way to deal,maybee he should piano since its easier to Plagiarize,change bits so most people cant tell. try writing an original, just cause you change a tempo/key/scale from existing work doesnt make it yours. i get its experimental, but i think its a bit overdone.

@ChrisDaron well no it doesn't. if you were as popular as Muse, I'm sure that, on occassion, you might have guitar issues live or, due to constant touring and exhaustion, you might start the intro to a wrong song. Considering the number of shows this band has played in the last decade, a few mistakes are expected. I just meant the lead guy is a very god pianist and guitarist, and not too bad at composition and song-writing.

Though I really love Muse, truly, I think it was really unprofessional of Matt to stop in the middle of a song. When you're performing and there's some kind of problem, it doesn't matter if it's a big or a small show, you never stop, you IMPROVISE. I just think it's odd he did this because he's a great performer and he knows this is what a performer must never do.

But whatever, it went well afterwards right? That's what matters. And we fans are very undertanding, they were even cheering =D

@Lizzie7493 Having been on stage when a guitar cable's given out on me, I know it's one of the hardest things to cope with. Snapped strings are much easier to recover from than total loss of sound from the instrument. The problem for Matt is that in TiRO, the rest of the song as written relies on the guitar, and there's no break in the vocals for him to move away from the mic to change.

@Lizzie7493 He also doesn't know how long it'll take to fix, and can't tell Dom and Chris who would then need to improvise together against the light show and click track. I think it's better that, if there's the chance of a substandard song, they stop and start again - loads of people do it (McCartney, Zappa, The Who etc). But of course, as the TiRO/Starlight mixup and the New Born problem show, if they need to, they are easily good enough improvise! Just harder to get around in TIRO, I think.
