I was at a healthcare protest today in san jose...the only vile things said were by a few mabye 5 pissed of drivers driving by and shouting, flipping us off....everyone was happy and peaceful...were we aginst this healthcare bill...we got about 100 honks and thumbs up to each dirty look or middle finger..all in all it was very encouraging...LIFE IS GOOD people are waking up...that were alseep before...THANK GOD

everyone has a right to protest THANK GOD...

but the people voted the voice of the people was heard.....THANK GOD AGAIN..

I LOVE AMERICA..EVEN WHEN THINGS DONT GO MY WAY! when we vote on things i learn to live with the results.doesnt mean im happy about it..but this is better than any other nation...at least we have a say in our government...that seems to be slipping away a bit with bush and obama...but i have faith the american people will come together and thrive as a people..God willing

@MrWannabefree but whos protecting the minority? this was not a fair vote. a MAJORITY group voted to take rights away from a minority group.

if im not mistaken, this is the same type of thing that was happening over 50 years ago when african american students wanted to attend schools with everyone else. THE MAJORITY did not want that to happen, but guess what? The majority was WRONG. Just because something pass's, dose not mean its right.

I was at this to! It was INTENSE! True, there was this one Yes-On-8-er who pulled up and started shouting obscenities at the crowd and got a soda thrown at him, but at least that was the worst of it. Yay for relative peace!

And I should be glad that I, a skinny teen girl, wasn't shoved down by Yes-on-8-ers during the rally, as has happened before.

Don't generalize, hon. There are people on both sides who have acted like complete and utter asshats. Doesn't mean we all are.

We should be glad we were out there in a public place during the day so people like you couldn't take us, strap us to a fence and beat us to death.

I was there and it was great seeing all the supporters and families. And it was very peacefully which i was happy about too.
