I like how he plays the single note clean picked intro live, rather than the strummed sound on the soundtrack - I'd say it might be because it sounds better on electric guitar though the original was all recorded electric in the studio... - I do miss the strummed intro though

u dont have to do that, if u google media converter u can get sites that will do it for u. U just need to copy the link from the video into it and wait, theyl give u the track as a downlaodable file :D

Some of the comments below say Akira is playing 'too fast'. Actually, he is playing at the same tempo that the orchestra is playing. Because of the room size and dynamic of the instruments, the sound waves reach particular points at different times. By the time the tempo beat reaches Akira's ears, there's already a delay, and by the time the guitar sound waves leave his amp, there's a delay, and then as the waves travel to the recording video camera, ever more delay. You can hear him compensate.
