Bad for the back/neck and also you shouldn't let your feet touch the ground after every raise, they're supposed to stay about an inch or two above the ground. :-)
Best workout is raising your legs while hanging on bars. That's how I do it. No back pain. Lose all excess fat too by jogging or cardio workout. Like the Hanging leg raises video. It works for me.
quite the other way around. if you put your hand behind your head you might damage your neck vertebrae since you're putting extra force on your neck with your hands involuntary when reaching the "failure" point of the exercise. and this exercise is mostly worked "to failure" in most routines. Bruce Lee's routine for one.
do that on a pull up bar to relieve stress

@shadowcar88 It's worse if you pull your head. It will put too much pressure on your neck.
