I love screwing with my friends with the engine metric button. "Hey guys, check out how fast I can go 0-60." "Holy crap! 2 seconds, I thought you said it was bone stock?" "It is :P" lololololol
This guy definitely hit the "Engine Metric" button which converts the gauges to KPH. I can tell by how low the rpms are. Regardless your acceleration is pretty quick.
Only 1984 C4's had the cross fire engine as it was a carry over from the 1982 C3 Corvette. The Tuned Port Injected motor came in the 1985 Corvette not 1986 as you had written. LT-1 is the best of the group check out my video on here of what you can get with them. My 94 with dust a new ZO6 from accelaration to braking to handling. It is all about the money and what you want to spend, if you spend enough which I did you can make anything you want.
ALL engines from 85 to 96 are of the tuned port injection type, the ports are a tuned length, and they are all fuel injected. That includes LT1s, LT4s and ZR1s as well.
Yes but in 92 as you know GM choose to give the engine its first new title, LT-1 dropping the previous Tuned port injected name from the engine title and side molding on the car it self. This applied to both Corvette and Camaro. Ahh..... those were the days, when technology was still an infant.
Camaro never had an LT1 in 92, it still had the L98.
GM didnt call the new engine an LT-1, they dropped the - and called it LT1, cause it was the first engine ever to go into a Corvette to exceed the 1970 LT-1 for net rated horsepower.
You are right, my mistake the camaro got the LT1 when the cigar on wheels body style came out in 93. You see the LT-1 spelled different ways in different places my vette has it in different places done both ways and all badges were designed for the newer LT motor
The L98 was not called "Tuned Port Injection", it was called L98. The labelling "Tuned Port Injection" came from the intake system having tuned length ports and fuel injection, and was not only used on the sides of 85-90 Corvettes, but also on the sides of the 90 ZR1, and the rear of the 305 and 350 Camaros.
Yes but it was always called the Tuned Port motor over its factory engine code name so much so later on in some GM ads it is even referred to the Tuned port motor, I think that is what GM was trying to pound into us to remember.
The C4 came with a total of 5 engines designated as factory engines. 84 was the cross fire 85-91 was the L98 tuned port engines 92-96 the LT-1 90-95 the LT-5 ZR-1 engine and 88-91 callaway twin turbo engine.
thnx man but i found out there is 2 type of engines 1 produces 300hp the other 245hp do u no how to diferentiate between them coz im going to buy 1 but i dunno ist 300 or 245
The Lt-1 is the 300hp engine used in the 92-96 Corvette by far the better pick than the 245hp L98 tuned port injected motor, used from 85-91. The LT-1 is bulletproof compared to the L98 and the power that is waiting to be had check out my video on here of my 94 LT-1 with 505rwhp.
Nice car! What would you choose for about same price? 93 modded manual C4 with 380KM or stock 99 C5 automatic?

what type of engine is that 245hp.
the corvette C4 COMES WITH 3 TYPES OF engines:
1- LT1 has 300 hp.from (1992 to 1996)
2- lt4 has 330 hp came only in 1996 with manuwal speed only.
3- lt5 which is zr1 powerd with four cam engine and has 375 hp for (1990 to 1992)and 405hp from 1993 to 1995.
thats all.may be you are talking about the TPI engines which came from 1994 to 1991 and they had (245 to 260 hp).

Callaway RPO B2K Twin Turbo was 87-91. Callaway Super Naturals could be had by sending an LT1, LT4, or LT5 to the Callaway factory.
