All I know is two parents can work full time, have a proper rent to income ratio, have a responsible car payment, not spend a dime on crap like I-phones, birthday gifts, pizza, or an occasional movie, or dinner, or you know, anything "fun", and still have to decide on food or electricity. This month it's the water bill. Next month it is gonna be both. Can't afford to work is right around the corner. I almost to the point where I want to see it all come down. @kwb70652 I agree with the fact that the American dream is dead. Unlike Suze, I think it is now a matter of surviving. Like Micheal Moore said, this is not the America I grew up, and I don't like this either.
Obviously Suze is trying hard to promote her book. That's her way of making money. I have no problem with what she does, but I will not buy her book.
Btw, why do you ask that same question to several persons in here? What's in for you?

@yes4meI am trying to make the point that ALL Orman is doing is trying to sell a book. Telling me/us that our "dreams" have changed to be more moral and virtuous? As I said elsewhere, I had good morals through the good times as well. I do not agree with Suze, I think she's full of BS, and I think her goal is primarily to make money. She discusses "enablers" like credit card companies and commercialism, but I think that is exactly what she is doing. That makes her a hypocrite.
