Szocs' forehand reminds a little bit Ding Ning's one. Poor Bernadette, she must have been embarassed by the lack of reaction of her opponent when she tried to shake her hand, not pretty cool... Yet, despite some reactions ("technique from the 80s) I find their game balanced, using effecient backhands when necessary, without deep weaknesses. Hang on misses, you might be able to compete with asian people if you keep improving that way!

Because technique is so outdated(look at the right leg in front - bh technique :D), strokes are so wide for female table tennis, bad manner and attitude. They may be good at junior level, because the chinese really take the time do develop a strong foundation instead of going for fancy shots. When they get to 18-20 years old, the chinese will be twice as fast and with perfect technique suited for the women game (short, compact, fast strokes, near the table, perfect placement).

@Ashm00r agree with both of your comments. Both players are good but wont be even close to be in the top 10 in the future. They should train on short reliable strokes and not the fancy and sometimes weird looking strokes.

Look at bernadette's blocks, sometimes she blocks the ball in such a weird way with sidespin, if she does that on higher level, she will get killed right away.

The europeans got lots of work to do!

Nice vid. I take the point about comparative lack of F/H power but as I coach I thought the standard of topspin was very good (and that to me is more important). One thing I still don't get is who coaches a B/H serve from the middle of the table ?! Doesn't make any sense to me. Don't mind the level of competitiveness - think that's good.
