Some films are so bad they are horrifying so it was sent to a horror film festival, such is the collective wisdom of the filmmakers. Le Fear is far too real to be funny, so the laughs and gaffs are purely accidental. The actors, believing they are actually in a movie, will return to their day jobs actually believing they have won an award. Perhaps the filmmakers might send this little gem off to a Tragedy Festival next. No one will be the wiser.
