I was right infront where Die was, it was an amazing concert! Plus Shinya bumped into me on the way to the signing and said sorry, I almost fainted, lol.
@mjbgsd - If there's any other Diru fans from PDX reading this comment, I wanna make you aware that we aren't listed in the cities posted for AGE QUOD AGIS. It might just be a management goof, but let's not leave it to chance. If you have Facebook, Myspace or Twitter -PLEASE- send messages to Dir en grey's official accounts and be sure that PORTLAND OREGON is mentioned somewhere in the beginning of your comment. They've always been good about coming to PDX, no reason for them to stop now!
Yea, I was at this concert, and let me tell you. I have a new respect for Kyo. He used to scare me, but now he is soooo sexy!!! I loved this concert, and Toshiyaaaaaaa........and sexinesss...I love Dir en Grey!
I was there, I was the purple haired spazball screaming "Please sing Mushi" inbetween every moment of silence, lol... Oh well, guess they don't like their older songs? I also gave Nora a "Portland Fucking Oregon" shirt from The Roxy to give to Kaoru since he wasn't at the greet, it'd be awesome as fuck if he wears it next time they come to Ptown.
I just assumed, since they're trying really hard to distance themselves from Visual Kei that they don't like to play older songs (but then again, they did play Audience Killer Loop and Obscure). -Mushi- is still a really powerful and deep song even today, I'm sure half the audience would probably start crying if they played it.
Just letting my fellow PDX Diru fans know that they're coming back to the states in April, let's get to contacting Mike Thrasher Presents and The Hawthorne Theatre via their sites and FB's and let them know we want another Dir en grey show! Getting skipped for the Age Quod Agis show sucked, especially since on the last date they had in Cali they played solo (no openers). I read that they're hitting the Showbox in Seattle for a "one-man-live." I hope Portland gets something similar...
@Death2Bigots They just announced that the tour's going to start in Seattle, so hopefully their next announcement will be that they're playing Portland too. I'd go to both, just like I did on the tour when I shot this video.
@BradTheProducer - My mistake, it's March not April, and the Seattle date is set for the 7th, and then they go to Cali on the 9th, so here's to hoping they can squeeze a PDX date in on the 8th. I would appreciate help from other fans, as I don't want to be the only one calling... back me up on this, y'all. Hit up The Hawthorn and The Roseland's FB pages, their main sites, call their phone numbers. Do what you can.
@Death2Bigots - And personally, I hope they hit up The Hawthorne again. Loved the atmosphere, loved the green blacklit trim around the stage. And I live on Sandy so it'd be hella close.
so they came out after the show! Does that mean Kyo came out too? If so damn! I just left afterwards because I met them backstage...but Kyo wasn't back there!
I don't get the negs, and I don't get what's wrong with Mushi, it's still a magnificent and fucking gut-wrenching song, and it isn't like they would be seen as "less masculine" if they played it on U.S. tours. It ain't like 90% of their overseas fans never heard stuff from the albums they recorded before their first U.S. release and they still play the classics for their Japanese tours. "Ain't Afraid to Die" is on the Rose Trims Again dvd, so wtf. Play that shit over here too, god dammit.
watch?v=cEwmtLXSUBI - paste into browser just after the slash. The fact they'd play this song over there, but not here, is a bit lame. But I guess it also had to do with the fact they were recording it at Osakajo Hall, where they haven't played since 1999. I just wish they'd give U.S. fans more credit and play more pre-WtD songs over here, and not just stuff from Vulgar either. Embryo and Mushi are still great songs, and alot of U.S. Diru fans still know them well enough to sing along.

true, but they also play songs (usually) depending on popularity. Maybe Mushi didnt seem like a popular song so they didnt play it.
